Mary Jane "Bubby" Graves

Mary Jane (Spear) Graves, "Bubby", 86, of Glastonbury, suddenly passed on Friday, August 19, 2022. Mary Jane was born on January 4, 1936, in Bar Harbor, Maine to the late John and Frances (Hawkes) Spear. "Bubby" relocated to Colchester, CT in 1958, and resided there for most of her life. She worked at Mestre's Manufacturing Leather Goods in Colchester. She also worked at Pratt & Whitney as a Forecasting Analyst for 23 years. Mary Jane purchased and managed Salem Four Corners Package Store for several years. Mary Jane was an avid sailor, certified scuba diver, and ham radio operator. She enjoyed singing "ditties" and collecting antiques. In addition to her unique sense of humor, "Bubby" loved to tell stories about her travels and life experiences. She is survived by daughters, Kelly Rozanski of South Windsor and Wendy Babcock, of Uncasville and sisters, Laura Spear Henry, of Winthrop, ME, and Judy Mickens of Bar Harbor, ME. "Bubby" is survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her grandchildren, Mark Graves, Jr. of Vernon, William Rozanski the II of South Windsor, Rachael Butova and husband Joe of East Haddam, Lee McQuarrie of East Haddam, Melissa Bredickas and husband Jeremy of Plymouth, Holly Rozanski of East Hampton, Heather Fox of Kissimmee, FL, Lindsay Therian and husband Mike of Colchester, Dillon Babcock of Uncasville, and Hunter Graves of Colchester. Bubby was also proud of her great-grandchildren, Daniel McQuarrie, Clark Delmastro, Carley Delmastro, Willow Rozanski, Resa McQuarrie, Jackson Bredickas, Noah Bredickas, Eva Graves, Emerson Graves, Audrey Graves, Kara Therian, Kacey Therian, and Joey Butova. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mary Jane is predeceased by her children Lisa Graves and Mark Graves along with her siblings: Joy Jordan, Oliver Spear, John Spear and Robert Seeley.
