Aunt Mary Ann,
You always made me so very proud of you. Yes, you were brilliant and beautiful, but you were so remarkably brave in the face of your illness. You never complained once.
I will miss you, my favorite Steel Magnolia.
Until we meet again,
Mary Claire Malloy

Mary Ann, my dear classmate at Northwestern University Medical School (Class of 1967), was outstanding in every respect. Upon graduation, she soared to the top, whether as a practitioner providing meaningful, loving personal care or as a medical advisor/educator to a vast public who benefited from her broadcasts. Her sons, Robert and Stephen, and their family are praiseworthy for their wonderful care of Mary Ann at her time of medical need, not to mention the kindness shown by several of my medical school classmates, especially Dr. Michael Murphy. The Funeral Mass at Notre Dame Church in Hinsdale, IL, was deeply moving.

Dr. Malloy was my mothers doctor and we could not have hoped for a better doctor. Caring, patient, knowledgeable with a friendly sincere touch. We cannot say enough of her professionalism. She loved her dog and so proud of her grandchild. She was a doctor and a friend. We are sadden by this news of her passing, however, we know Heaven has gained an amazing Angel! God bless her family at this difficult time.

Mary Ann' mother, Bernadine, was our Aunt Florence Butler's best friend from childhood. I used to take Auntie Flo to visit Bernadine, and she would always catch us up on all Dr. Maryann was up to- she was so very proud of all her accomplishments!! Please know all the Keifers send their condolences.

Dr. Malloy was a caring physician and a wonderful human being. She was my doctor for several years. I was devastated when Elmhurst Clinic suddenly stopped using my insurance and I had to change doctors. It knocked the wind out of me. To me, Dr. Malloy was what I thought all doctors should be. She was completely dedicated to her patients. She was beautiful inside and out! RIP dear Dr. Malloy!

Dr. Malloy was a valued medical contributor on our weekend morning show at NBC5. Oftentimes she came in prepared to tackle a topic and I would change it at the last minute if a new medical story surfaced. Dr. Malloy would always welcome the challenge and could eloquently tackle any medical topic and explain in a way we could all understand. On a personal note, I had a cancer scare and she provided support, encouragement and facts which helped calm my fears. She always had time for us. Dr. Malloy was a classy woman filled with kindness. I know our viewers valued her and will remember her with admiration and gratitude.
