Mary Lou Spalding (Ford) was born January 18,1934. Her mother was Lydia Eusebia Ford (May), Father was Alfred Ford. She grew up in Ogden UT, She attended Lorin Farr Elementary School, Central Junior High and Graduated from Ogden High School in 1952. She went onto Weber Junior College and Humbolt State where she graduated with a teaching credential in 1957.

She met George Richard Spalding, they dated 6 weeks and were married July 2, 1956. They were married 47 years until his death March 26, 2005. She had a daughter Marilyn Ann Spalding born June 15, 1961

She taught school 3 years in Fortuna CA, then 31 years for St Helena Unified School District, she substituted for Napa Valley Unified School District for several years after her retirement from SHUSD. She also worked at Branagan Insurance and Weight Watchers after she retired from teaching.

She loved music. She learned to play piano when she was 10 years old, she learned to play Organ and Guitar. She also sang in may choir groups, church choir, senior choir, church pageants, she played piano and organ as the church organist for 60 years. She danced until she was 85, she danced at senior center, took dance classes, she danced around the house, she loved to dance.

She is predeceased by her parents Lydia and Alfred Ford, her sister Gloria Mccall, her niece Patti McCall, half brother Albert Anthony and half brother Wesley Worthey, husband George Richard Spalding. She is survived by her daughter Marilyn Branagan (Spalding) and husband A. Brad Branagan, her grandchildren Kelly Egloff (Branagan) and Bradley Chase Branagan, and her great grandchildren Evander Egloff, Ezra Egloff, Estelle Egloff and Elsie Egloff.

Her celebration of life will be September 4, 2025 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the corner of Trower and Dry Creek. Viewing at 2:00 Funeral at 3:00
