Matt made the high school years so amazing! He was more than a friend he was a brother. After college, I always wondered about Matt Wood. I'm saddened by this lost but I know Matt is in Heaven. Matt was loved by everyone who knew him. I truly pray his son knows how awesome his dad was and that everyone (of every walk of life) truly adored the one and only Matt Wood. Rest in peace, my dear friend.

Abott, Jane, I was saddened to hear you lost your precious son Matt. I heard about it on Feb 24th. My heart really goes out to you and your family. I identify with the pain you are feeling, as I lost my Katy when she was 16. She would have been 39 this April, so she was born 4 years before Matt. It's an indescribable heartache to lose a child. Just know I'm thinking about and praying for all of you, including your grandson, and all Matt's relatives, as well as the many friends who knew and loved Matt, as you all go through the grieving process.

I worked with both Abott & Jane & I especially remember Matt as a very blond youngster coming in to the office to visit. Somewhere, I still have a picture of him with a note to Ms. Carolyn from "Matt the Batt!" My love & condolences to the family.
