Matthew Jackson "Matt" Thompson

Matthew Jackson Thompson, known affectionally as Matt, passed away on July 10, 2024, in Simi Valley, California, at the age of 29. Born on February 23, 1995, in Redlands, California, Matt grew into a man admired for his creativity, hard work, and the immense love he had for his family.

Matt dedicated his career to carpentry and construction, where he applied his creativity and hardworking nature to build and create structures with precision and care. His work not only provided structures for use but also brought to life the visions and dreams of many.

A devoted father, Matt cherished his children, Damian and Delilah Thompson. He started each day making them pancakes, a simple yet profound act of love that his children will forever cherish. Matt's love extended beyond his immediate family to his girlfriend, Brenda, and his siblings, Melissa, Michael, James Jr., and Micah. He also held a special bond with his nephew, Kaiden.

Matt's hobbies included working on cars and motorcycles, a passion that allowed him to tinker and innovate. He loved spending quality time playing with his children and enjoying moments with his girlfriend, friends, and family, which brought him immense joy.

He is survived by his loving mother, Trina Isaacs; father, Chris Isaacs; grandmother, Valerie Spurlock; sister, Melissa Thompson; brothers, Michael Isaacs, James Thompson Jr., and Micah Thompson; son, Damian Thompson; daughter, Delilah Thompson; nephew, Kaiden Thompson; and girlfriend, Brenda Espinoza. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Theodore Spurlock, and grandmother, Brenda Johnson.

A celebration of Matt's life will be held at the family's home on July 27th. His contagious smile and sweet nature will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Matt's legacy will live on through the beautiful structures he built, the love he shared with his family, and the memories cherished by all who were fortunate to know him.
