Maurice Lynn Baker

Maurice Lynn Baker, 65, of Menifee, AR, died Tuesday, June 4, 2002, at his home following a lengthy battle with multiple myeloma.

He was born April 11, 1937, in Leachville, AR to Madge K. (Pickett) and Joe C. Baker.

Maurice loved to fish & hunt, especially duck, turkey & geese. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Morrilton. He was also veteran of the U.S. Army.

Mr. Baker was preceded in death by a son, Bryan Baker; his parents and a brother, Allen Baker.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Baker; three sons, David Baker and his wife, Kim, of Menifee, AR , Chris Baker and his wife, Tracy, of Sherwood and Kevin Baker, of St. Louis; a daughter, Becky Mullican and her husband, Mike, of Needham, MA; a sister, Jo Ann Hendrix and her husband, Joe, of Little Rock, and twelve grandchildren.

The family wants to extend special thanks to Dr. Peter Post, Dr. Elias Anaissie, Dr. Maurizio Zangari, Ken Carr, RN, Michael Videll and David Goodwin, as well as the nurses in the Chemotherapy Unit at ACRC, who serve so lovingly.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 7, 2002, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, with Rev. Paul Worm officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. To sign the online guestbook, visit www.griffinleggett.com.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth.
