Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 23, 2024.
Michael Hiroshi Ansai, a beloved brother and dedicated friend, passed away on September 26, 2024, at the age of 71. Born on December 17, 1952, in Chicago, Michael lived a life filled with love and purpose.

He graduated from Rich Central High School and was a proud graduate of Western Illinois University, where he earned a degree in accounting. He went on to build a successful career as a CPA, known not only for his professional expertise but also for his kindness, generosity, and passion for spirited debate. Michael had a knack for fixing things, both big and small, always ready to lend a helping hand.

He had a passion for skiing, golfing, and watching sports, cherishing the time spent with friends and family. Michael was deeply loved by all who knew him and will be remembered for his caring nature and the joy he brought into the lives of others.

He is survived by his two sisters, Patricia Zahedi (and brother-in-law Ali) and Judy Ansai. Michael's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of his loved ones.

In lieu of flowers, Michael requested that donations be made in his name to Glenkirk, where his sister Judy resides. The QR code for donations is provided below.

Mike was an incredible brother. At just 16, he lost our mother and took on the responsibility of caring for me, his 13 year old sister, while our dad worked long hours . He let me tag along with his friends to the Dunes and ski trips. I even worked with him at Ponderosa. He always made me feel included and protected.

He shared a very special bond with Judy, who has special needs. She was like his own child, bringing him joy. He filled her visits with her favorite things and made every holiday warm and memorable for us all.

Mike was a truly loving brother, and we will miss him dearly.
