Michael Puraty Obituary
Son of the late Milas and Nettie (Silva) Puraty, Mike was a native San Diegan and Kearny High School graduate.
Mike spent 33 years as a successful party chief/land surveyor before retiring from CalTrans in 2002. He enjoyed photography and loved sports, especially baseball. Mike was a well respected little league umpire for over 20 years.
Michael was a loving father to daughter Ginelle and son Geoffrey (Kaori). Proud grandfather to Mia, Kenji, Kimie, and Koji. He was preceded in death by his son Gabriel in 1998. He is survived by his sister Dawn, brothers Peter and Melvin.
At Michael's request, there will be no funeral service. Instead, he asked that friends and loved ones make a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
