I knew Mike as a working court reporter who always had the best interest of our profession at the forefront of his desires. Everything he could do to promote our profession or help fellow reporters he was quick to do, and always with that charming smile of his. He left his mark on me and many others. May God Bless Him!!! My condolences to his family.

I just happened to click on this site for some unknown reason . My father Mr Leo J Leblanc was Mr Mikes Room mate at the Va Home. My Father Passed before Mr.Mike. He must have wanted me to see. I am so sorry for your loss. He was a very nice man and he would often get frustrated with his tv remote control as would my father . I would go on sundays and watch tv with them and find old war movies or westerns that we could watch together. He and my father were excellent bunk mates. I have tears now as I remember his big smile and his wave when I would come in the room or the cafateria. May he enjoy peace as my father has. Thinking of you all. Dads roomate made it home.

Prior to Michael's stay at the 19th JDC, he was a successful self-employed and well-respected freelance court reporter home based here in Baton Rouge, working throughout the state and in all strata of federal and state district court pre-trial hearings and deposition work. I was fortunate to work with him and will always remember his kindness and intellect.
