Monica was born on May 18, 1932 and passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2016. Monica was a resident of Portsmouth, Rhode Island at the time of her passing. She graduated from Cranston High School in 1948 where she grew up. She then graduated in 1953 from URI with a B.S.N. and Salve Regina University with a M.A. She was married to Joseph. Calling hours will be held on Thursday February 4 2016 from 4-8 in Connors Funeral Home 55 West Main Road Portsmouth RI. Her funeral will be held on Friday February 5 2016 at 10:00 AM in St. Maryâs Episcopal Church East Main Road Portsmouth RI. Burial will follow in the Churchyard immediately after her service. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation in her memory to Home Hospice Care Of Rhode Island 1085 North Main Street Pawtucket RI 02860.

For Mrs. Magliocco's family, I just found out about your mom. She was a great nursing instructor. She was also the main reason I was accepted into nursing school at Newport Hospital. Before this time (1975), I had only lived in RI in1967 or 1968 in Middletown for 5th grade. Then later 1970 or 1971, 7th grade at Portsmouth High School, my best friend the year I lived there was Joy Magliocco. I have never forgotten either Joy or Monica. L.
