NADIA SORON (nee Harach)
Nadia, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Home, Saskatoon on Wednesday, October 16th, 2013, at the age of 87. She is loved and remembered by her children, Darlene (Ron) Melnychuk, Gordon (Carol) Soron, Myra (Mark) Kraft; grandchildren, Ryan (Kim) Melnychuk, Tammy (Ryan) Martens, Jamie Melnychuk (Jamal) Benouda Tlemcani, Trevor Soron (Julie), Lisa (Ben) Dunville, Michelle (Dallas) Townsend, Heather Soron, Evan Kraft, Garret Kraft and Cameron Kraft; great grandchildren, Nowyl Martens, Barrett Martens, Rayan Benouda Tlemcani; siblings, Katherine Timchuk, Tania Wagnor, Paul Harach, Sonia Dale, Stella (George) Luciuk, Slava Pastyr and Peter (Ollie) Harach. She was predeceased by her son, Gary; husband, Michael; parents, Harry and Eva; brother, Mike (Catherine); sister, Mary (Alex) Shewchuk, Anne (John) Belak; Agatha (Sam) Pary; sister-in-law, Nellie Harach; brother-in-law, Mike Timchuk, John Wagnor, and Myron Pastyr. Mom was a caring, generous and giving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was warm and welcoming and made her home open to all. The farm was her life and she cared for her animals and pets with love. She grew wonderful and bountiful gardens that provided vegetables and fruits for her family, friends and others in the community. The incredible meals she shared with us at the farm are remembered by her entire family. She was a spiritual woman of strong and enduring faith and Prayer was an important part of her life; the Rosary brought her much comfort and she prayed it daily. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 21st, at St. Solange Roman Catholic Church, Hafford, SK. Following the reception, Rite of Committal will take place at St. Michael's Parish Cemetery, Krydor, SK. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Solange Parish in Hafford, SK. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the Sisters and Staff of St. Joseph's Home for their compassionate care of mother in her final three years.
