Nancy Huggins Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 5, 2020.
Nancy Kay Huggins was born in Harlan, Iowa on September 3, 1953 and passed away at Brandon Regional Hospital on September 5, 2020. She was 67 years old at the time of her passing. Nancy Huggins graduated from Central High School in Omaha, NE 1978. Nancy was blessed with an energetic spirit that could make anyone smile. She was an easy person to make friends with as she rarely encountered a person she couldn't start up a conversation. She was a loving devoted mother and wife as her family took the center role in her life. As a dedicated Military wife she lived in many different places throughout her life. She met her husband, Allen Huggins in Omaha, NE; then lived in Okinawa, Japan; Bellevue, NE; Oahu, HI; Austin, TX; Bellevue, NE; and then Brandon, FL as her final destination. She enjoyed crocheting and if you knew her at anytime in her life you most likely have a beautiful afghan that she made especially for you. She was extremely caring and always doing something for someone. She leaves behind her husband Allen Huggins; daughter Amanda Huggins; son Kenneth Huggins, mother Mary Mullaney; Sisters Wendy Calvin & Mary Hupp; brother Jim Mullaney; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is greeted by her father John Patrick "Jack" Mullaney and her brother Dennis Mullaney. The family will be holding a private celebration of life with close family members and friends.

My mom was a beautiful soul that will be missed dearly. She was my best friend and made me laugh and smile so much throughout my life. She was so much fun to be around and never met a stranger as she could talk to anyone she met! My family will miss her more than anything, I feel like she was taken from us way to early in her life... but I am thankful for all the time I got to spend with her and all the memories I will always cherish of her. I love you so much mom and I hope you are out of pain reuniting with friends and relatives.
