Naomi Schiff Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Aug. 7 to Aug. 9, 2016.
August 3, 2016 Naomi passed away after a short illness on August 3, 2016. Naomi was unfailingly positive and generous, fond of all folks and animals, and demonstrated a fierce love for everyone in her family - all knew she loved them. Though Naomi was unable to attend college, she longed for education. She became a realtor to help support her family. Her routine included walking daily with her cat, Suzy, Silver Sneakers exercise classes, attending plays/concerts with friends, and lectures at the Rosenberg Senior Center at Temple Menorah in Redondo Beach. Naomi is survived by her children: Stan, Kathy, and Norman Schiff; grandchildren: Netanya, Lara, Sarah, and Shepard Schiff, Sam Buchman, and Daniel and Anthony Hegg; and great-grandchildren: Ethan, Elsie, and Claire Hegg. Services and burial will begin at 11 am, at Hillside Memorial Park on Sunday, August 7, 2016. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing to the Rosenberg Senior Center.

Naomi, you surely will be missed. I always enjoyed chatting with you when you would come into my shop to have you car worked on.
Sometimes I would give you a ride home and we would sit in the car and continue our chats.
Your heart was huge and you were very proud of your families accomplishments. You were a mother of love and support to all.
Say hello to Adele for me, I miss her too.

Norm, please accept my condolences on the passing of your mother. This will be a tough time ahead for you while you and your family mourn her passing, but try to focus on your memories of all the wonderful times you had with your mother. May she rest in God's hands and may peace be with you and your family.

Naomi and Millie...friends forever

When I look at your picture it is so hard to believe you are gone. My heart is heavy knowing you are no longer here. Our families were friends since I was a little girl and my memories are bountiful. I remember your other house in N Torrance...your dog buttermilk running around, Shep fixing bikes in the garage, your wedding picture on the table in your bedroom, watching The Sound of Music in your living room, playing with Kathy and Norman. I can remember the wonderful cookies you used to bake. Now I wish that I had learned that from you. I remember your chicken soup in the kitchen. I remember how loving you were to my kids. Your laughter. Your phone calls. Your friendship with my mom, Millie. You called me every year to wish me a happy birthday. I remember seeing your face in your kitchen window when I would come over. And I remember your loving smile and kisses. Thank you Naomi for being such a big part of my life. It makes me very sad that you are gone. Love you forever...Elaine
