Nazzarino "Nick" P. Peracchia, Jr. Loving and devoted family man Nazzarino "Nick" P. Peracchia, Jr., age 81, died on February 19, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Nick was born and raised in Philadelphia and was a longtime resident of Springfield before moving to Media 11 years ago. He was an architect with Acme Markets and then was an engineer with the United States Navy. Nick served his country proudly during the Korean Conflict with the Sea Bees in the U.S. Navy. He was a former president with the Redwood Senior Club in Upland and was an avid gardener, dancer and fisherman. Nick was also a dedicated ice hockey fan and he enjoyed his time coaching his son. He was the loving son of the late Nazzarino and Elizabeth Peracchia, loving husband of the late Sarah H. (Trofe) Peracchia, father of the late Drew Peracchia, brother of the late Victor, John, Paul and Norma, step-father of the late Pamela Ford, father-in-law of the late John Simone. Survivors: His devoted wife: Doris (Drew) Peracchia, Children: Donna Shankweiler (Bill), Cindi Aleardi (Mike), Lori Simone, and Nick E. Peracchia (Janice), Grandchildren: Rebecca, Adam, Michael, Vincent and John Jr., and Step-children: Pat, Karen, Sharon, Bob, Gary, Susan, and Cyndi. Funeral Mass: Monday, 10:30 am, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 136 Saxer Ave., Springfield. Visitation: Sunday, from 6-8:00 p.m., at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home Ltd., 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston, PA. and Monday, from 9:30-10:15am, at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial: Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers: donations may be made to the S.P.C.A., 500 Sandy Bank Rd., Media, PA 19063
