NICHOLAS R.
"NICK" "PAP"
Age 75, of Carnegie, PA passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 4, 2017. Nick was born in Heidelberg, PA on December 18, 1941, he graduated from Bridgeville High School in 1960 where he met his true soulmate, Bonnie Holeva. Nick married Bonnie on November 9, 1963, they were married for 54 years. Pap worked as a truck driver at Petroleum Pipe for his entire career; however, his first true passion was that of a supportive loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Next he was an active and avid enthusiast of the outdoors, including a passion for hunting and fishing as well as an experienced sports fan. Nick was truly a selfless and loyal individual. Nick is survived by his wife, Bonnie; sister, Shirley Noark; son, Jeff Gazda and spouse, Lisa; daughter, Amy Anderson and spouse, Chuck; brother of the late Rich Gazda; grandchildren, Jeffrey Krek, Nicholas Gazda and spouse, Emilee, Emily Kubacki and spouse, Kevin, Rebecca Gazda, Michael Gazda; great- granddaughter, Riley Trussel (daughter of Emily); brother-in-law of Becky and Dave Norcutt; uncle of Bob Noark, Tim Gazda, Ron Noark, Tom Gazda, Nick Gazda, Mark and Mike Norcutt, Pete Zajicek. Friends received Tuesday morning from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the SZAFRANSKI - EBERLEIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 101 Third St., Carnegie, where a Blessing Service will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. As former flood victims, Nick and Bonnie would prefer that you make memorial donations to your local volunteer first responders.
