I was thinking about you the other day Nicole, when we went somewhere that we hadnt gone in years and our last time being there was with you. I wished I could have texted you, I still have your number saved in my phone. Its crazy how life changes and how far off it is from the way we always envisioned it would turn out. I still have the first birthday gift you ever gave me and a photo of us on the wall I look at every day. You were such a ray of sunshine. I miss you.

I have wanted to write something on this page for one year now, and I still cant put into words how I feel.
I have had plenty of time to reflect on the time I got to spend with you and to wish I could jump in a time machine and relive every second of it.
Ill simply share what I know for certain is the best moment of my life.
The gentle, slow opening chords of Harvest Moon were playing. Everyone in the room stood, and I turned to see you, the strongest, kindest and most beautiful person Ill ever meet.
With your Dad beside you, you looked so damn happy. Your smile always had the ability to make people feel like everything was going to be okay.
I felt so incredibly lucky knowing I was about to put a wedding ring on your perfect, delicate hand and that your last name was about to become Fitz.
I miss you, darling. Call me crazy, but I know our dog misses you too. Your family misses you. Your nephews and nieces miss you, and you know there is one nephew in particular who is always talking and asking about his favourite Auntie.
I love you, I love you, I love you.

You & Natalie were a large part of my growing up at Alex Hope. You both were either in my or Erin's class. I think there were 5 sets of us twins. You were the happiest, most polite, beautiful girls. Never getting into trouble (unless we were giggling too much). Probably in Mr. Branswell's music class because we were all too shy to sing.
Today we honoured your life. Even though we haven't seen each other recently, I wouldn't have missed it for the world. Your family is so strong and it's all because of your bravery. Life is not fair but I am reminding myself you are in peace now. Your spirit will live on through your family. Your loving nephews and niece, your sisters and brother.
Another memory came to mind while thinking of you. I think we were in kindergarten and your mom let you and Natalie come over for a play date. We ended up jumping on my parents bed. Acting in a Reader's Theatre play "Pigs Pigs Pigs Galore" in Mrs. Robert's grade 3 class together. Also will never forget your rosy cheeks turning extra blushed when getting embarrassed. Which probably happened a lot when we learned French together and had to make presentations in our newfound language.
It was lovely hearing Chad today talking about how you never lost the inner kid in you
Rest in Peace beautiful Angel

I did not have the privilage of meeting Nicole...I only know her beautiful and loving sister, Natalie, who is the light of my nephews life. I do wish to express my deepest sympathies to Natalie, her family and to Nicole's husband on the lost of this loving and courageous soul.
The Lord Bless thee, and keep thee:
The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

Natalie, the Browne family, and the Fitz family,
I'm so sorry for your loss. I wish I could have been there today to celebrate Nicole.
One of my favourite memories of Nicole is sitting with her in high school biology - we were always laughing about something, even if no one else was. I was so happy to see Nicole whenever I ran into her after high school - she was kind and warm, and always smiling.
Rest in peace, Nicole.

When I first received the sad and devastating news, I just sat in my kitchen in disbelief! I sat there thinking about this young girl who I was so thankful that I had met through volunteering for years at her Elementary School. My memories of Nicole and Natalie are numerous and so positive! They were one pair of twins in my son's grade... and there were FIVE! They were gorgeous, polite, friendly girls. I loved to work in their classrooms! It's no surprise that they had become stunning, beautiful women - a decade later! Anyways, Natalie.... I know you work with my bff, Janine. Please , please don't be a stranger and if your mom, Janine or friends can't help you out for " whatever" - I'm only a text or a call away-be it a week from now, a month from now, 2 years from now. Much love and huge hugs to you and your family. I do have a peace inside of me that Nicole is out of pain and suffering. What brave, strong young ladies you both have become! Love you all and honestly, sometimes life seems so unfair. I'll be thinking of you all tomorrow.... ❤❤

You were an amazing & truly genuine friend Nicole, a piece of my heart left with you. I will miss those rosy cheeks, your crafty advise, looking for shooting stars with you, and having so much fun at the lake together.
You were so brave, I hope you are at peace now. Love ya my friend.

I have fond memories of 3 sweet, giggling litttle girls playing on our front steps in Forest Hills. Nicole, Natalie and Kayleigh became fast friends when we moved into the cul-de-sac. Nicole grew into a beautiful young woman while still retaining her sweet and positive personality. Beautiful Nicole has left us far too soon. My heart breaks for her family and friends. May the good memories be a source of comfort for you at this difficult time. Rest in peace Nicole. Love, Diane Delves and family.

You always made August laugh the hardest, and you were the first person she said "love you" to.
You were the most amazing sister-in-law and aunt, and you made my brother the happiest man alive.
(Auntie) Nicole, we love you more than you'll ever know, and we will miss you every day.

We are so saddened to hear about our sweet Nicole.
She is a beautiful soul inside and out and we feel blessed to have known her from the time she came into this world and then blossomed into the wonderful, caring, loving and brave woman and wife to Chad.
Chad, Susan, Bill, Sarah, Billy and Natalie, we wish you the courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your hearts. We will miss you Nicole, rest in peace and keep your Uncle in line.
Until we meet again, Love always, Auntie Sandy, Darrell and Grant Overbury.

I was lucky enough to sit next to Nicole in high school art class. While I'm not sure if we spent more time in class, or picking out treats from the cafeteria vending machines - she was such a delight to sit beside. Always kind, thoughtful, upbeat and encouraging (even despite my questionable artistic abilities!). It was always lovely to bump into her after high school and catch up - her kind and thoughtful nature always shined through. The world lost a bright light, and heaven gained an angel! My heart goes out to her family & friends at this unimaginable time.

I'm blessed to have had you in my life for 24 years. You were more than a friend; you were a sister to me. Words can't express what you mean to me or how thankful I am for all the memories we made together. I'm in awe of the strength and grace you had during these past few years. You fought hard girl. You'll always be in my heart. Love you forever.

This gal was kindness, laughter, courage, perseverance, gratitude, compassion, humility, and overall beauty. She may be an angel now but her legacy will forever be here on earth. I hope that wherever you are, the Mcdonalds is delightfully delectable! Love you forever <3

Nicole was such a kind, caring and brave person that I've had the privilege of knowing. There are no words to describe the heart ache I feel for Nicole's family and friends. Nicole will be dearly missed but the memories she leaves everyone with will last a lifetime.

We are so sad to hear about Nicole. I will always remember her quite, soft and at times shy beautiful personality. Natalie and Nicole were one of the famous Alex Hope twins and our hearts are so heavy. May peace be with you all very soon. Chad, Susan, Bill, Natalie, Sarah, Billy; Ryan, Cole & Molly : As I sit here I am in tears for you all - words cannot express what we feel for your loss of your beautiful wife, daughter & sister and such a special Auntie Nicole. She was such a ray of sunshine - your family has shared with us since 2001 & your Sarah's "little sisters" emerged into such beautiful young ladies. Chad - you have been such a steadfast loving husband to Nicole. I was so happy to see you & Nicole at Ryan's baseball game 2 weeks ago. Last night George asked Ryan if his incredible hit was for Grandpa - no hesitation - he said " No it was for Auntie Nicole". She so loved her nephews & niece - her memory will certainly be kept alive for them. She was a very special lady and so brave. Love to all of you.

Chad, Natalie, Sarah, Billy and Mr. and Mrs. Browne, I am so terribly sorry for the loss of beautiful Nicole.
My twin sister and I grew up with Natalie and Nicole and had many laughs together from kindergarten and all throughout at Alex Hope. Although we were not in many classes together in high school, our twin bond remained throughout and we were always so excited to run into each other and share stories. Nicole and I would not even have to say a word to each other, we would just look at each other and burst out giggling without a reason. One of the last times I ran into Nicole is when she was on a walk around Alex Hope with Natalie. We stood there catching up and Nicole told me about her gorgeous nephews and we talked about how much we loved growing up in Forest Hills and how Sarah was so lucky to also bring up her family here. Nicole and I would tag each other in Facebook posts of cute puppies because of our mutual love for morkies.
In the fall, I did The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada's Vancouver Light The Night Walk and received a very generous donation from Nicole. I will always remember how generous you were Nicole, from sharing your always perfectly sharpened pencil crayons with me, to helping me support others, and I will cherish our memories forever and smile knowing that you are pain free and you fought so hard.
My heart goes out to the Browne and Fitz families.
Sending you lots of love and strength,
