Noel Sheeran Drower (75) of Doylestown, PA passed away on December 18th after a courageous battle with cancer. Noel was born in New Rochelle, NY to the late Kay and Jack Sheeran. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband Peter Drower, daughter Aimee Klepacki (John), son John DeBoyace, step-children Sean Drower (Debbie), Kathleen Finlayson (Eric), Christine Drower-Wu (Richard) and grandchildren Payton, Jake, Callie, Makenna, Jack, Wyatt, Allison, Zachary, Ella, Megan, Ian, Owen, Liam and Nathan. She is also survived by her brother Jack Sheeran (Liz) of Yarmouth Port, MA and her sister Patty De Marco (Jim) of Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ, and many nieces nephews and cousins that she dearly loved. She was predeceased by her sister Margot Rooney.

Noel grew up in Bronxville and New City, NY and attended The Ursuline School in New Rochelle, NY, moved to New City and graduated from Clarkstown High School. She attended Our Lady of the Elms College in Chicopee, MA and Manhattan College in NY where she earned her Master of Science in Education. Her love for children and teaching was the perfect combination for her 34-year career as a first grade teacher at the West Haverstraw Elementary school and 6 years as a reading specialist at Ridge Ranch Elementary School in Paramus, NJ. Noel touched the lives of so many children she taught over the years and remained in contact with so many of them.

Noel was a member of the West Nyack Swim Club and served on its board for over 32 years. She was always spotted at swim meets watching her children compete, as their number one supporter. She was a selfless member and volunteer who enjoyed helping out at the Swim Club events.

Noel was an exceptional woman filled with kindness and grace, and was always thinking of other people first. Over the years she split her time with family and friends in New City, Cape Cod and Doylestown, PA. She was always finding people in need of help and never stopped taking care of others.

Noel was dearly loved by all who knew her, and she leaves behind a legacy of her devotion to teaching, kindness, generosity, love and memories that will be cherished by all who knew her.

A memorial Mass will be held on January 7th at St. Francis of Assisi Church in West Nyack, NY at 11:00 with a Celebration of Life to follow at the church.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial Scholarship has been set up in Noel's name at the North Rockland School District. Noel was one of my dearest friends. She was more like a sister to me . I have known Noel and her family for over 50 years . No words to express how broken hearted I am . Noel was a true practicing Christian always thinking of others whether family or friends before herself . For all who had the privilege of knowing Noel understood what a blessing she was . She was a remarkable teacher, Mother , sister grandmother, wife and friend . Noel was the most loving and giving person. All of us who knew Noel have many fond cherished memories of her kindness and wonderful demeanor. She hosted dinner with Santa for many generations of children who will have lasting beautiful memories because of her generous heart and soul !
