Glenn Milne Obituary

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial for Glenn J. Milne Sr., who passed away Saturday, April 15, 2006, will be 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 19, at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Port Orange. The interment will be at Volusia Memorial Park, Ormond Beach, immediately following the service. The viewing will be from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m. with a prayer vigil service at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 4815 Clyde Morris Blvd., Port Orange. Mr. Milne was born in Roundup, Mont., and moved to the area in 1980 from Hewlett Bay Park, Long Island, N.Y. He was a retired sanitation engineer and real estate entreprenuer. He was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea, New Smyrna Beach and the ELKS. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II. He loved writing poems and short stories as well as boats, cars and antiques. Mr. Milne is survived by sons, Glenn, Jr., New Smyrna Beach, James and Robert, both of Port Orange; daughters, Barbara Pinnola, East Meadow, Long Island, N.Y., and Donna Perry, Warren, N.J.; brother, Donald, Levittown, N.Y.; sister, Dorothy Collison, Jamesburg, N.J.; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 4000 S. Atlantic Ave., New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169. Condolences may be shared with the family online at www.mem.com. Arrangements are under the care and trust of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, Port Orange.
