I first met Oren in 1975 at OJs Lounge in Dracut, MA and knew him for many years thru the 80s- when we met I was only 18 and now in my mid 60s thinking back to what a wonderful modest person he was. He was a friend and a protector to many.

Merry Christmas Dad! We love and miss you. I was thinking about the times when you would go Christmas shopping for you family & friends and would ask me if I would wrap them. You always got useful practical items. Some examples are: various big cuts of beef, corned beef, pork, ham, lamb or a turkey or chicken or beef pot pie or variety of seafood, canned goods, personal hygienic products or a AAA membership. You were always humble & appreciated everything.

This day back... 2013 is when I had 2 honor your decision. If it was not your decision i think sometimes..would i have been able 2 decide because you were fine except your heart needed little more re-charging.
I always knew how strong you were physically & mentally but to be able to decide what you did & didn't want & then dealing with what came with it still really is something....
So, sometimes if a situation feels sucky or tough...people can think about U & hopefully ur spitit'll kick in & help get people back on track.
U were always a hard working, honest, humble, peaceful, proud, respectable & respectful man.

Strong thoughts of you Christmas eve, and Christmas early morning. I believe it is Your Presence! You letting us know you're here with your kids and people who love you.
You, bringing us together, to love, heal, forgive, to be patient (you are Mr. Patience!), to think before you speak, to stop & take the time to appreciate everything big & small in the world, to remember and honor our loved ones, and to be in service and helping out in any way we can.
Thank you for showing and instilling your strong & solid work ethic to us. Oh, many times I remember you ironing your black pants to get ready for work.
I think the most time u spent was making sure your signature hairstyle was in perfect order. Then, I remember that perhaps your discipline stemmed from being a military veteran, and also being raised by a strong, independent mother, Ning Yin who was a restauranteur & widower, who raised not only 6 of her own kids, but 3 grandkids as well.
I miss my family.
I miss our get togethers with the "Joy Luck Club" feasts that Ning Yin would cook, and everyone would come together to eat. Ah, another memory of Ning Yin's were her telephone calls telling us to come over on Sundays to eat. That everybody come! Boy, that sure brought great joy to her.

I have so many fond memories of my childhood, our family times & dinner gatherings with Ning Yin at her dinner table, playing in her garden, you packing my lunch box full of food and goodies! We were truly Blessed to always have full bellies and love. You always spoke gently, never shouted.
I loved our dancing to Motown in the living room, and going to Chinese double feature movies bringing delicious foods from our favorite bakeries and restaurants. Fishing and going to the beach was and always is one of my greatest childhood loves to this day! Thank you for teaching me, all your kids how to appreciate life, be patient, and being resourceful. I love the me that I AM today because of You!

Hi Papa,
It was and always is sunny & beautiful on Easter Sunday. Thinking of You and Ning Ying with those Yellow and Pink Marshmallow Chick Peeps. Took a picture and must post of some new Peep Flavors and Colors that seem disgusting to me, yet someone must be buying it, cause otherwise why would the company even make them.
Here are some flavors I got from the website: Pancakes & Syrup, Party Cake, Peeps, Red Velvet, Caramel Apple, Mystery Flavor, Sweet Lemonade, Sugar Plum, Blueberry Delight, Orange Sherbert, Strawberry, Pumpkin Spice Latte, Sour Watermelon, Cotton Candy Peeps, Coconut, Sugar Cookie, and Bubble Gum.
Uncle Johnny would put quarters in the colorful plastic eggs, and hide them in the house for us kids to find.
Even at a young age, he always taught us about money in some way. Ning was a great teacher in respecting money, the value of saving $$$ which she taught you, Unk, and the rest of your siblings.

Hi Papa,
Been watching the timeless classic tv show, "Kung Fu" lately, and always think of you. You are Master Po, and we are all your little Grasshoppers! I cannot believe it was 6 years ago when we were all together the day of your transition. You have done a lot for everyone in your human form, and as Dalaga said, the Legacy of Oren is still going strong, and is Infinite!
And to Brother Bandowa, Yes, Believe that Dad is in His Perfect place enjoying His Inter-planetary Journey. Just like Quai Chang Caine in Kung Fu, always traveling, moving on, generously helping out people in need, while imprinting His presence in the hearts of whom He touched.
Thank you for being present in our lives. I am aware of you showing up.
I think of You, Unk Johnny, Ning Yin, and Uncle Ned, as well as our other ancestors.
