Orland DeCiccio Obituary

Orland A. DeCiccio, age 77, passed away August 13, 2005 at Kaiser Hospital in Fontana. He was born September 6, 1927 in Midland, PA and was an I nland Empire resident for 50 years. Mr. DeCiccio was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II. He was alumni of Chaffey College and a member of their 1947 Championship Football Team. He was a graduate of San Jose State University. He worked as a manager at Kaiser Steel and California Steel, retiring after 50 years. He was a member and Past Master of Upland - Mt. Baldy Masonic Lodge #419 F. &A.M.; he was also a member of the San Bernardino Scottish Rite and the Royal Order of Scotla nd. He was a member and Past Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star Upland #346 as well as the Al Malakah Shrine. He was a member and teacher for the AARP. He was also a member of the American Legion Post in Ontario. Orland is survived by his wife of 56 years Patricia DeCiccio of Ontario; his children James (Madeline) DeCiccio of Ontario, Gerald (Audrey) DeCiccio of Laguna Hills, Elizabeth (John) Walker of Kent, WA; his siblings Edmund (Midge) DiCiccio of Midland, PA, Anthony (Nancy) DiCiccio of Beaver F alls, PA, Doreen LaValle of Industry, PA, Rita DiMarzio of Midland, PA and Louis (Saya) DiCiccio of Midland, PA; and his grandchildren Joshua, Emily, Charlotte and Bobbie; and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents Alexander and Anna DiCiccio and siblings Ralph Bernabie and Carmella Granito. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 18, 2005 from 5 to 8 PM at Draper Mortuary, 811 N. Mountain Ave. in Ontario. Service will take place Friday, August 19, 2005 at 10 AM at Draper Chapel. Int erment will follow at Riverside National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Language Disorders Clinic at San Bernardino Scottish Rite and Upland-Mt. Baldy Masonic Youth Orders. Arrangements have been entrusted to Draper Mortuary.
