Some of my favorite memories are with the McDermott Family while growing up in Randolph. Mrs. M. was one of my favorite professors while I attended Quincy Jr. College in the early 80's. My heart was and is very saddened by the news. Please accept my sincere condolences in this very sad time. My prayers and thoughts are with you all. I wish I could be there to help with your sorrow. With much love, Billy Wells

My thoughts and prayers to the family. Pat was an incredibly wonderful person with her intellect, her drive to help others and her commitment to making things better. Her passion for teaching and students was unsurpassed. We all delighted in her Huntington "theater parties". She was a role model for faculty and I will always remember her advocacy for others. We will miss her very much!

How very sorry I was to hear about Pat's passing. She was such a sweet lady- and a real character, too. I remember how she always greeted me with a hug and kiss while handing me a thoughtfully made snack when visiting the Huntington Theater. She was a person who touched lives everywhere she went. She will be missed by so many. All my love, Kate Cannon

She was the refuge for many of us as teenagers. A force of nature. A tremendous creative, life-loving woman. A great mother to her brood. I am very sad.

My thoughts and prayers are with the whole McD clan. Your mom was a huge part of my life. My oak dresser was one of her finds. She also gave birth to my closest friends. I will miss her greatly. Much love, Barb
