Cec and Family,
Lori and I were very sorry to hear about your loss and wish you God's help in recovery. I do not think we played as much a role in your getting together as you suggest, I think the great "getting together" was destined to happen with or without our place to meet.
Hope we can drop by for a visit and reminese about the good old days sometimes soon
God bless,
Steven and Lori

Cecil, we are saddened to hear of your loss. Our hearts go out to you and your family as I know Trish will be lovingly remembered by all who met her. Kim and I will always remember fondly the BBQ and moment we all shared watching the Gold Medal performance by Donnovan Baily and the mens Canadian relay team during the olympics. More than anything we will remember her big smile and zest for life. Our deepest sympathy on your loss.

Dear Mr. Nevin,
I was very sad to learn that Trish passed away recently.
I met Trish this past fall when I gave her the job of making bears from my Mom's fur coat.
It was a pleasure to meet her, and I was so impressed with her talent, "flair" and love of bears. Trish put extra effort into the project I gave her to ensure that enough bears could be made from my Mom's coat for my family members. These bears, by the way, turned out beautifully.
You can be assured that not only will my Mom be remembered through Trish's Memory Bears, but the memory of Trish herself will live on through these precious bears.
My condolences to you and Trish's family and friends.

We haven't seen much of each other over the years but we did run into each other from time to time. We will remember the first time we saw Pat's beautiful creations...we didn't know she had such wonderful talent. I remember I got a miniature painting of pansies that I sent to my Grandmother.
We first met Pat back in the 70's in Invuvik but we go way back to the 60's when we first met Dem.
Our heartfelt condolences to all of Pat's family. Keep her always in your hearts.

To: Mom
I will always remember you by your caring and loving warmth. Your heart was full of passion and talent. You were always in my corner and supported all my interests and goals. You taught me how to draw and paint as a young child. You gave me a gift for life! Your were not just my mother but a best friend. Someone I can talk to about my struggles. You were always my biggest supporter and motivator. The last couple of years were very painful to say the least. But I saw how you battled with positivety and courage. You are an amazing person, artist, friend and most of all my Mother. Thank-you very much. I know your in a safe place. You will always be in my heart.

Dear Darren, Cecil, Geoff and Family,
Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss.
I will always remember Pat making us hot dogs (and lots of kool aid) when we were kids. I also remember the haircuts that I used to get from Pat, which she would do for me so I could save money for the weekend as a teenager.
Although our paths haven't crossed for some years, I will always remember and have fond memories of Pat.
Sincerely,
Scott Friendship

Dear Cecil,
I just heard the sad news and wanted to pass along my condolences and our family's thoughts and prayers. My wife and I live in Blackburn Hamlet now with our young son and when we visit Beacon Hill, where my parents still live, I think of high school days and the sports and games we played in the parking lot and field in front of your home. I still recall all the pitchers of kool-aid and mountains of snacks Pat prepared for us. I don't see your sons as often as I would like anymore but they were a big part of my life growing up and Pat's influence on them is a big reason they remain such caring and talented individuals with so many friends.
I am still surprised at how many of the items that adorned your house were made by Pat. She had so many talents and her gifts will be missed. Please accept our deepest condolences at this difficult time.

Hi Cecil
My wife Melanie and I were very saddened to hear of the passing of Trish. I was only fortunate enough to meet her once when we reconnected while I was on course in Ottawa. After brunch you folks were good enough to take me to the airport where we spent some time before my flight. On the flight back to Windsor, I thought about how lucky you were to have found someone so wonderful. I'm sure you have many fond memories that you will always cherish.

We were so sad to hear that despite her great strength and determination Trish lost her battle with cancer. Although our only contact was over the phone I know that given the opportunity we would have become good friends. You loved her so very much and you must miss her terribly but I know she has left you with many, many cherished memories to help you through this very difficult time.
Sending you our love and most heartfelt sympathy and remember if you need to talk we're here for you.

Dear Cecil, Trish was so many things to me - to all of us. At Robert Hopkins, while I taught her three great kids, she helped out painting such realistic backdrops for our musicals - laying out sheets of brown paper on the gym floor. She gave us our settings to which the children responded so positively. Then, at Henry Munro, Trish actually set up my art program, developing skills in the visual arts that were so interesting and fun that the students couldn't wait for Art Day. My grandchildren, and many other children around have her teddy bears and dolls and many friends have her art. Trish had a genius - not only in the art world, but in making and keeping friends. She enriched my life in so many ways and we so often laughed heartily during our time together. Never did I leave her company that I did not feel happier and a better person. Her artwork is in several rooms of my house as well as her poems. I can still hear her hearty laugh in my mind and cannot believe I can't phone her just to talk. I love my friend, Trish, who was a gift from God to all who knew her. Cec, I know your heart is heavy but remember her laugh and positive outlook and no-nonsense approach and it will bring a smile to your face, through all your tears. Now Trish will paint with the Masters. Her legacy will live on through her genius. God bless you as He has blessed Trish.

What a tragic and untimely loss! We will always remember the short visit that we had with Trish, Alexandria and you a few years ago, and the ongoing friendship that we have shared over the years. It is never easy to lose one so precious, but our collective memories will always keep Trish alive and among us. May you be granted strength and hope in the coming weeks and months.

Pat, you will always fill a big place in my heart. You became a mother to me and gave us a family that helped make us all what we are today. My friends always ask about you too as you had an effect on everyone who came to our house and met you. You were funny and always had something delicious cooking on the stove or in the oven. Everyone who knows you loved your water colors and bears and other crafts. Many of them have travelled around the world with their owners and I get to see them every day in my home and in the homes of our family and friends here in Manitoba. I'm not sure how you managed to keep a household running with 8 people and 8 cats but the memories will live on forever.
I am glad I was able to spend Christmas with you, Dad and our family this year and so happy to have spent a few days with you while you were sick in the hospital. It was fun to make you laugh and tell the stories of the good ole days, tell you what you meant to me and made sure you knew my plans for the future. Everyone will continue to be strong for you as you showed us what true strength, grace and courage are. You will always be with me and I will never forget your incredible smile despite all of the pain you were feeling at the end. You will be missed. I love you Pat.

Pats as I called her will be very much missed. It is hard to put into words the feelings that come over you when you lose someone so special. She was many things to me. She was a mother, a friend, a confidante, a fellow artist, a teacher, a fellow gardener.
We had fun and laughs too numerous to mention. Her love of life always shone through. This became even more evident during her illness. I believe we all learned from her the true meaning of grace and strength. I would constantly marvel at her ability to make us feel better while going through such a thing would test anyone's strength. We often felt helpless to do anything for her and she always made us feel better.
I am truly honoured that I was able to come and spend 5 of the most amazing days with her before she passed. Just sitting with her holding her hand and looking at how beautiful she was. She accepted what was coming and I feel certain she is now bathed in light and beauty. Free of any pain. They are lucky to be in such presence and we are now very lucky to have such an angel watching over us.
To my Dad, I am very sorry that you have lost your love but also very thankful that you both shared each others lives for so many years. You showed us a great example of love through good times and tough times and I have taken these lessons to heart.
I look forward to coming back to Ottawa mid July and being able to spend time with you all and celebrate this wonderful woman's life and legacy.
Sincerely,
Beth, Stephen, Alexander and Matthew Plant.

To Dear Trish:
I'm so glad I spent time with you last June. We sat in your garden at the back, and talked of your illness, and your great spiritual growth. You were so kind and brave. You were part of every activity, uncomplaining, so caring of me.
I thank you for my band boxes, bears and miniature water colours, and your love.
Love,

We have lost a Sweetheart!
Our Trish was not only a gorgeous blonde but a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Friend, a truly talented artist and funny to boot.
Trish gave of herself to the end with her positive attitude and sense of humour. Her courage and strength are an inspiration to all who knew her.
I am personally lucky to possess a couple of Trish's water colours which will keep her with me always.
Although Trish has moved on, the treasure chest of memories she left us will give us solace.
Thank You, my Sister-in-Law Trish for all that you were and all that will live on in we who were fortunate enough to love you.
And my dear brother, nieces and nephews I am with you in spirit as is your beloved Trish.
Always with Affection, Craigey

Pat will be remembered for her courageous fight. She possessed a great strength and positive outlook throughout her battle. We will remember her always. Sterling, Eliza and Charlie (her special bears) will watch over us.
We were glad to be able to spend time with her during her last days.
Her eyes still sparkled and her smile was bright.
It is times like this that remind us what is most important. Family and friends. Tell somebody you love how much you care. Be patient, kind, and understanding. It is the best gift we can offer those closest to us.
Love,
Carolyn, Jacques, Natalie and Justin

I was so sad to hear this news. Trish was a special lady who I met when I joined the Cumberland Craft Guild in 1992. I used to pick Trish up every month for the meetings and I will always remember the laughs we shared on the way there and on the way back home. She was truly an artist and took great pride in her beautiful bears and lovely watercolours. My deepest, most heartfelt sympathy to Cecil and family.

Dear Trish:
I was so sad yesterday when a mutual friend told me of your passing away. You always brought so much to people around you. Your strenght and positiveness helped people around you more than you ever believed. No matter how sick and weak you were, you always had a smile for us and gave so much strenght to others. I became a fan of yours years ago when I first met you at one of the craft show. Ever since I first saw those bears I had to have one of those bears who were so special and the bonus of it was to get to know you. I have been keeping in touch with you ever since and am I glad I did so because of who you are. My daughter and I now have a collection of these bears who are so unique and each represents a part of you. Everyone of them is a treasure that means so much to us. They are cherished and displayed everywhere through our houses. They are a special treat from Trish. May you grand voyage be peaceful. To the members of your family we send you our sincere condolences and I am sure Trish has become your guardian angel because of all her love for you.
