PATRICIA TAYLOR Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Oct. 4 to Oct. 5, 2017.
TAYLOR
PATRICIA L.
On Monday, October 2, 2017, unexpectedly, our feisty, fierce Mother, Pat, went fighting with all of us by her side, but peacefully into the arms of her Lord and our Angels. Our matriarch, best friend and confidant, she leaves her loving legacy to us, the "Taylor Girls", Debi (Daryl Renzi) Dawne (Jack Cargnoni), Darlaine and husband, Michel Demichela, Diann (Scott Lower) and Dana and husband, John Ploschnitznig. Our only brother, J.R., her favorite, is joyfully reunited with Mum in Heaven. Mom was the lifelong best friend, favorite red-head and wife of our Dad, Donn Taylor. She was her grandchildren's biggest cheerleader, and will live on forever in the hearts of Jennifer (Jasen), Denielle (Chris), Darah (Denis), Michael, Danny (Lucia), J.T. (Elena) Dakotah, Joey (Katie), Jake and the late Jessica and D.J. whom she carried in her heart every day. Nuna to her great-grandchildren, who brought her abundant joy, Caidyn, Audrey, Faye, Tayler, Bennett and was so looking forward to the birth of Baby Buckley this week and Baby Kirstein this winter. The oldest daughter of Bernard Bernauer and Mary (Martucci), she was the devoted sister of Bob (Karen), Jim (Mary Pat) and Trudi (Gary) Olson, whom she tried to keep in line. Loved by her aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and many other surviving family members who we celebrated with this summer at our Martucci Family Reunion. Mom was a proud alumni of Carrick High School and shared lifelong friendships with many of her classmates. As the unofficial greeter, she always had a smile and a kind word for her many friends on the walking trails in South Park and the J.R. Taylor Memorial Bridge in Bethel Park, where she diligently watered the flowers every day. Impeccably groomed, dressed and coifed, our vibrant and vivacious Mom loved to go to the movies with her friends, visit and care for our great-aunts, take the great grandkids to the park, read, Sunday dinners, and cheering on her grandchildren in their many activities; at all times dressed in the appropriate school colors. With a generous heart, she worked with homeless families, buying winter coats for those less fortunate. Mom provided meals, comfort and a compassionate ear to all who were immediately drawn to her by the twinkle in her eyes and her beautiful smile. She was legendary for her personal handwritten notes to so many, celebrating in happy occasions and sharing their grief in sad times. She loved to follow professional and college basketball and had been an avid Steelers season ticket holder for decades. She loved attending the theatre, opera, and adventures with her friends, QVC and her many travels abroad with her girls, but most especially her trips to Italy, where she preferred her "Big American Cup" over an espresso. Our Mother attended Mingo Creek Church in Finleyville and her Tuesday morning prayer group, both from which she drew strength and comfort. She volunteered tirelessly through the years for many charitable organizations and all of our activities and those of her grandchildren. Arrangements by BEINHAUER, 724-941-3211. Family and friends are welcome at 2828 Washington Road, McMurray on Thursday 1 - 8 p.m., where a Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. Please add or view tributes at www.beinhauer.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, D.J. Taylor-Buckley Cardiology Fund or the White Field Foundation, 8225 Peebles Rd., Pgh., PA 15237. In true Pat fashion, a random act of kindness to a total stranger would be fitting. Well done, good and faithful servant…until we meet again Mum.

I am so so sorry for your loss. I remember Mrs. Taylor very well from my teen/early 20's and recently saw her from afar at a funeral mass, this past summer. I now wish I went up to her to say hello, not so sure she'd have remembered me. You all are so very fortunate to have her for your mom. Again, my deepest sympathies.

Deb, (and girls). I just cant keep it together reading this. I will always remember your beautiful mother. We met when me, my mom and brother lived on Studebaker street and you guys were right down the street. I am so sorry for all of you. She is watching all of us, GOD bless all of you.

Mum-

I wish I could have seen/been there for your welcoming party into heaven.

I'm sure you are still holding JR, Jessica and DJ in your arms:)

I hope you had the chance to see/hear all the people who loved/cared about you, pay their respect. About 800 people signed your book and 86 cars were counted in your procession!

Your service was lovely, giving us hope that death is not the end. Hopefully your grandchildren's found comfort and faith in what Jesus's death meant........Death is just the beginning of living in eternity forever with Him and you, if we believe:)

JT, Debbie & Darlaine did a wonderful job sharing/honoring your life (I know you enjoyed that).....but I also know that you know the rest of us (Me, Diann and 95% of your grandchildren) hate to public speak, but hold special thoughts and memories in our heart. Plus the fact if we all spoke we would still be there-lol!

As you said "Be happy when I leave this earth"...but for us that is easier said than done....but I hope and pray you are ecstatic happy:) It will take a while for us to be happy without you.

I do thank God for blessing me with you as my Mom, having you for 60 years, countless memories and knowing I will see you again (and then boy will I be happy))))).

Endless Love & Hugs-
Dawne

PS---Give love and hugs to all my love ones with you up there, especially to Jesus!

Yes it sounds like she certainly left a legacy of FAITH behind. That's the best inheritance of all, next to our promise of eternal life.

My twin sister (Gorsic's) and I babysat you kids a few times many, many years ago when you lived on S. Park Rd.

So sorry about your great loss. It is great that she is with JESUS and J R.

God bless you all!

My dear ones: My heart has been aching since learning of Pat's passing and although pained, I cannot even begin to know the ache all of you are suffering with the loss of such a precious and vibrant mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. The angels received with open arms, one of their own and another angel, when they received Pat on October 2. I was born that day. It is the "Feast of the Guardian Angels," a sacred day, reserved only for the most special. Pat defined the word, "angel" and what could be more appropriate than passing on the holy day honoring our angels. I feel blessed to have known her. With her grace, kindness and spirit, she was and always will be an inspiration to those of us who were lucky enough to know her. May God bless all of you and may our Lord bring you solace in knowing she is at peace with the angels and her beloved son, watching over and protecting all of you. My deepest sympathy and prayers. Love to all, Linda De Nero (Krahe)

Pat was a newer friend but a very special person and inspiration to use all. She always spoke of Jessica and JR and how much she missed having them in her life. She will now leave us and join them and we'll hold the empty feeling. Pat loved her family and was so proud of her daughters.
What a nice lady!
Pat will always have a seat at our Tuesday gathering and I'm sure she will be watching over us from time to time.
Miss you Pat,
Tom
