As a childhood neighbour, I remember Pat as a stern but loving and generous father. Visits often entailed bouts of merciless tickling to which I looked forward immensely.
In later years several great trips to the Gatineau (I think that's where it was) cabin at the lake are still vivid in my mind, as well as wonderful meals (entirely wasted on me at the time) at the house in Rockcliffe Park.
I regret having not visited again to see him.
My condolences to Mary, Michael and the rest of the family.

Great memories of Pat as I was fortunate to share several years as brothers in Delta Upsilon, as well as members of the Gold Key Club. It was a privilege to know him, and rewarding to follow his great success in law and as a fine Judge. His great humanism as well as his wonderful humour will be sorely missed.
Deepest sympathy to Mary and family.

All Blessings to "The Judge". We will always treasure the Coltrin Place 'hood memories; Mahoneys, McKennas and Morrisons; our parents, our pets and our peaceful cul de sac. Remembering and appreciating Mr. Mahoney's intelligence, humor and deep sensitivity. Love and best wishes, Elizabeth and Bill Overall

Uncle Pat, you will be missed. I remember the days in Calgary when we visited you all. I remember those great family get-togethers, and how much fun we all had.
You were a respected man, and each year I would meet someone that knew of you, or had read one of your decisions. I was always proud to say that you were my Uncle.
I enjoyed our time together, and that time we (you, Karen & I) had lunch in the Cove. It was so nice seeing you, however I'm sorry to say I was never a Stampeder fan. ;o)
I will miss you, but I know that you are now at peace.

I have many fond memories of sharing a drink and pleasant conversation with Pat and Jerry Yanover at the National Press Club. Pat's insight, wit and friendship will be missed. My condolences to his family.
