On Thursday, May 31, 2018, Paul E. Scanlon, age 87, of Hampton Twp. Beloved husband of Dolores (Klavon) Scanlon; father of Colleen Scanlon of Hampton Twp. and Kevin (Beverly) Scanlon of McCandless Twp.; brother of Eileen (Tom) Garforth of Ohio; grandfather of Kelly (Jonathan) Dane and Kelsey (Mike) Calder. Friends received Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at SIMONS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 7720 Perry Hwy., Pgh., PA 15237 where a Blessing Service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. Paul served in the Marine Corps as a staff sergeant during the Korean War on active duty for five years. He went on to hold several industrial engineering positions with American Optical, Contraves, Rockwell and Union Switch & Signal, where he served as president of the engineers union. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 301 Grant St., Suite 900, Pgh., PA 15219.
