Mrs. Pauline Neal (Lloyd) died peacefully surrounded by her family on April 3, 2016 at the age of 89. Pauline was born on March 31, 1927 in Huntsville TN, the oldest of 11 children. She married Bertis Neal on July 13, 1945. After Bertis began working for the Plateau Electric Co Operative, they moved to Wartburg, TN. Over 22 years, the couple welcomed eight children to their home. Pauline had various jobs over the years including owning her own restaurant, The Capistrano on Highway 27, as well as having worked many years for the Morgan County News. Her children remember her as a strong woman and loving mother. Pauline was an avid gardener, painter and sewing enthusiast. Tending to the abundant flowers surrounding her home brought her great joy, as did painting beautiful landscapes. Her sewing creations ranged from stuffed animals to formal gowns. She was a founding and dedicated member of Calvary Baptist Church though her health had prevented her from attending in recent years. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Bertis Neal; her son James Bertis (JB) Neal; her parents Paul and Ella Lloyd; and her siblings James Edward Lloyd, Della Myrtle Terry, Brenda Lee Evans, and Douglas Lloyd. Pauline is survived by her children; Mary Ann Neal of Wartburg, TN, Betty and George Edwards of Gainesville, FL, Wilma and Mickey Whaley of Myrtle Beach, SC, Don and Jennifer Neal of Spring, TX, Rex and Elizabeth Neal of Oakdale TN, John and Beverly Neal of Kingston, TN and Keela and David Greene of Wartburg, TN as well as 18 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Ella Ruth Carender, Franklin Don Lloyd, Barbara Ann Beu, Judy Kay Simpson, Patsy Shelton and Terry Sue Morgan. The family will receive friends Tuesday April 5, 2016 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg from 5-7:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow with Bro. Will Gouge officiating. Graveside services will be Wednesday April 6, 11:00 a.m. in Elizabeth Cemetery, Lancing, TN On Line condolences can be made to Schubert Funeral Home.com

We once took Pauline to Chattanooga with us to see Rex, Lib and the girls for Amber's birthday party. Randy and I so enjoyed the stories she shared. Her smiles and laughter made it a wonderful trip.

Keep looking up ...that's the secret of life. Praying for Rex and his siblings at this time.
