CHESTERFIELD – Pearl Beatty, 103, Chesterfield, formerly of Kokomo, passed away at 8:35 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Chesterfield.

She was born Oct. 3, 1904, in Sharpsville, the daughter of Charles William and Ella Jane (Karr) Beatty.

She retired in 1969 from Delco Electronics after 30 years of service. She attended Valley Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Chesterfield, and she formerly attended Northview Christian Church in Kokomo. She was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 292, Euchre Club and the Lioness Club.

Surviving are a nephew, Donald and Pauline Beatty of Chesterfield; three nieces, Joyce and Bill Brown of Pendleton, Sandy Rhemen of California, and Lynette Robertson of Walton; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Cecil and Arthur Beatty.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 S. Main St., Kokomo, with Pastor Joe Roysden officiating. Burial will follow in Sharpsville Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour before service Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Valley Grove Free Will Baptist Church, 2996 E. Indiana 236, Anderson, IN 46017.
