Penny Kronberg Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 25, 2024.
Following a courageous and hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer, Penny Joan Kronberg (née Daniel), of Venice, Florida, left this world on November 23, 2024. She fought her disease courageously to the end, and she will be dearly missed by those who loved her.

Penny was born in St. Louis on May 9, 1958 to the late Jack and Audrey Daniel. She was raised in a loving, Christian home. On August 2, 1986, she married Bob Kronberg, the love of her life, and in doing so gained two wonderful stepchildren, Andrew Kronberg and Jessica (Jay) Matula. Penny is survived by her grandchildren Kaitlyn, Cassady, Emily, Adalyn, Josh and Jaxson; her siblings Pam (Paul) Piel, Patti Morris, Kurt (Laura) Daniel, Jennie Wright; and her brother-in-law Dennis Kronberg. She was preceded in death by her brothers- and sisters-in-law Bruce, Gary, Linda, Larry, Kathy and Dona Kronberg.

She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, to whom she meant the world: Lisa (David), Laura, Jon (Jillian), Lianne, Jodi (Eric), Jake, Kate, Brooke (Bethany), Trevor (Brandi), Samantha (Chap), Sara, Steve (Patrick), Tim, Matt (Haley), Tony (Stephanie), Michelle, Annette (Marsha), Laurelee (Josh), Ryan, Christy (Christopher), Brian (Andrea), Brenda (John), and Teri, as well as many great-nieces, great-nephews, and countless friends.

Penny lived life to the fullest. She was a voracious reader, traveled extensively, loved entertaining, and made every single person in her life feel special. Above all, she will forever be remembered for her thoughtfulness and unending generosity.

Penny's visitation and funeral service will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery (2501 E. Euclid Avenue, Arlington Heights, IL 60004) on Saturday, December 7. Visitation will be held at 9:00, with a funeral service to follow at 10:00. Internment will then proceed for her immediate family.

An additional Celebration of Life will be held in Venice, Florida at a future date.

When Kathy and I were having dinner at your house and you broke out the player piano and we all saying Mr. Bojangles in full voice. The first appearance of Coco Bay had occurred approximately 30 minutes before this.

My first that I fondly remember was when Penny (and Bob) took my daughter in when she was a teenager for the weekend. She had a modeling trip in Chicago and they offered their home and rides for Jamie while she was there. I mean she just opened the doors to her home and made this Mom so MUCH more comfortable with that trip. Her KINDNESS!!!
