Born October 1, 1965, in Minneapolis, Pete had a lifelong passion for science and teaching. As a 1989 graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead, he spent 26 years inspiring students as a science teacher at Stillwater Middle School, retiring in 2021.
He is survived by his loving wife, Denise; children, Luke and Kelsey; parents, Edson Vercel and Marcia Fuglestad; and five siblings. He held close to the legacy of his grandparents: Edson and Clara Fuglestad, and Edwin and Rosella Pearson.
A memorial service will be held on September 5, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Waverly Gardens Chapel, 5919 Centerville Road, North Oaks. Visitation begins at 2:00 PM, with refreshments to follow the service.
