Bogart, GA - Peter Reginald Hague of Bogart, GA, died Wednesday, November 3rd on his 79th birthday. He was born in Sheffield, England to Ernest Hague and May Morrison Hague. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Artindale.
He graduated from Mylhurst Convent School, De La Salle College, and Empire State University. Peter came first to the United States while serving as a naval pilot with the Fleet Air Arm of Her Majesty's Royal Navy.
He was President of CMI, Bero Construction and lastly Barrett Corporation, a division of Colas International in upstate New York. He was a Fellow of the British Institute of Quarrying; a member of The American Society of Mining Engineers, President of the New York State Chapter of Concrete and Aggregate Producers Association and on the board of numerous national associations. Peter received many awards within his industry and for his civic services. No recognition, however, was for him as gratifying as receiving his honorary Kindergarten Diploma and the Yearbook Dedication to "Peterpa" from the Marcus Whitman School District where he was a kindergarten volunteer for several years. He would say his proudest moment was being sworn in as a United States Citizen.
Peter is survived by his wife, Jane; stepsons, Jim (Sandy) and Fritz(Betsy) Little; granddaughters Meredith Reeves (Dan), Alix Little, Samantha Little; grandson David Little; daughter-in-law Diane Little; sisters-in-law Annette Hill (James) and Jean Damian(Ray). In England, he is survived by brother, Anthony (Estee); nieces, Catherine and Elizabeth Artindale; nephews Phillip and Paul Hague, Jerrard and David Artindale.
Peter's life will be celebrated with a memorial service on Monday November 8th, at 11:00 am at the Watkinsville First United Methodist Church, 1331 New High Shoals Road. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Watkinsville First United Methodist Church, 1331 New High Shoals Road Watkinsville, Ga. 30677 Lord and Stephens Funeral Home West Chapel.
