I thought Peter was improving and before long be back to his old self. Therefore, I was really surprised and shocked to hear of his passing away. Peter was always a friendly, helpful, kind person ... and he certainly had a great sense of humour. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

I'm sorry to miss Peter's service. I was shocked to hear of his passing, especially since I'd just spoken to him on Friday in hospital.
I enjoyed working with Peter on projects at TELUS - he had a great spirit and was always helpful and determined to get the job done. His warm and friendly personality will be missed by us all.
My deepest sympathies to his family.

My deepest condolences to the Rackstraw family. Peter was a wonderful person - always optimistic, enthusiastic and hard working. He saw the good in people and did not get discouraged with road blocks that occurred daily in our working world. He loved his family and loved life. We will really miss Peter's spirit.

I first met Peter when I started working with C.T.&S. in 1989 (he was my first "in-charge"). Later, he encouraged me to go into coordination in B.C. Telephone's Carrier Services Department. Most recently, I worked with Peter for the last 4 years in the Internal Communications Department. We shared an interest in old motorbikes and offbeat British humour. He always was full of stories about what his kids were up to, which made it obvious that he cared for them a great deal. He was a good friend, and I will miss him

I've worked with Peter on several projects over the past few years. I admired his enthusiasm for the job and often wondered how he kept all his projects going at the same time with the thousands of details to worry about. I will miss his smile and his warm, caring nature. I wish more people were like him.
My deepest condolences to his family and close friends. We're all going to miss him.

Pete was my Manager when he had the Telus crew in North Vancouver. He will always be remembered here as a likable and caring gentleman.
