Phillip J. Volturo, 55 Phillip J. Volturo, 55, passed away suddenly on Sunday April 8, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Born and raised in Chester, Pennsylvania, he attended grade school at St. Robert's and was a graduate of St. James High School, class of 1974. He also spent two years at Hussian School of Art in Philadelphia. He was a lifelong musician, playing in many popular establishments in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and the Jersey Shore. He found great success as a band member in Cook E. Jarr and the Krums. They relocated to Las Vegas in 1983, where they were named Review Journal "Best Lounge Act" five times throughout the 80's and 90's. For the last 15 years he was known for being a vocalist and guitarist in many styles of music with bands such as The Reflex, Blonde Sided, Front Page, and most recently performing regularly on the Freemont Street Experience Main stage with The Party Rockers. He enjoyed fishing on Lake Meade, camping, hiking, and spending time with his family. He was pre-deceased by his parents Michael and Jean Volturo. Survivors: His companion of 19 years Bonnie Kimbril and their 3 daughters, Krista, Katie, and Kayla; his three brothers Michael (Diane), John (Debbie) and Tom, one sister Mary; many loving nieces and nephews and their children. Visitation with the family and a Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, April 29 from 1 to 3 PM at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Avenue, Aston, PA 19014. Phil made people feel comfortable when they were with him. I knew he was successful and always thought " couldn't happen to nicer guy ". Very sorry to see him leave too soon. My sympathies to those who will miss him.
