Philomena Savoca Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 1, 2021.
Philomena B. Savoca (nee Sabatino), a resident of Luther Woods in Hatboro, passed away Friday, October 1, 2021. She was 92 years old. Born in Philadelphia, Pa., she was the daughter of the Late Giovanni and Angelica (nee DeVito) Sabatino. She is preceded in death by her husband Dominick Savoca. Philomena is survived by her children Barbara Buonopane, Dominick C. Savoca (Linda), and Philip Savoca (Linda), her grandchildren Tony, Dominick, Matthew, Andrew, Julie, Angelica, and her great-grandchildren Anthony, Eva, Alli, Nico, Madelyn, Vinny, Ethan, Abby, Owen, and Avery. Known for being an expert seamstress, Philomena's claim to fame was making t-shirts for the Philadelphia Phillies. If she wasn't in the kitchen cooking an Italian meal, she was making arts and crafts. Her seasonal decorations were well known. While most knew Philomena for all of her activities, her grandchildren will always remember her as "The Bag Lady", and how she was the Best Mom-mom ever! Services for Philomena are being held privately by family request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Luther Wood's Activities (www.lutherwoods.org), 313 West County Line Road, Hatboro Pa., 19040, PH: 215-675-5005, in Philomena's memory.
