We knew her as "Sister Naomi" and then, later, as "Sister Rachel". We'll never forget the day when she returned to school with the new, modified habit after "Vatican II" and we could further see her beautiful, radiant face. What could more delight a bunch of giggly high school girls! In a group of elderly nuns, she was close to our age and so attractive! We had our battles with her, to be sure, during 4 years of all girl, catholic education ,
but we got to relive those battles among much laughter when she surprisingly showed up at our reunion 10-12 years ago. It meant so much to us that she would do so after so many years. How nice to know what her life became after leaving the Sisters of Mercy. Our sympathy to her husband, children, parents, and grandchildren. We think of her still.
