Rafael (Ray) Campos, died on February 12, 2022, at the VA Medical Center, in Grand Junction, Colorado. He was 91. He was born October 1930 in Selkirk, Kansas and graduated from Wichita County High School in Leoti, Kansas in 1949.

While serving in the United States Air Force in Tampa, Florida, Ray met his future wife, Beverly Miller at an Air Force dance. They were married in July of 1954 in Tribune, Kansas. In 1965 they moved with their two children to Grand Junction, Colorado. Ray worked as a television repairman for Sears for many years. He also owned First Street Laundromat and a car wash on Orchard Mesa. He enjoyed Colorado and often called Colorado's western slope "God's County". He was an active fisherman and avid traveler. He and Beverly traveled together to Hawaii, Europe, El Salvador, the Bahamas, and many times to Mexico. He made it a point to attend every family wedding and the yearly Campos family reunions. He will be sadly missed at all family events.

Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly and his siblings, Charlie, Magdelina, Louise, and Inez. He is survived by his daughter, Elaine Campos, of Grand Junction, and his son, Vance Campos, of Denver.

Rosary will be held on March 7th at 6:30 p.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 535 West 1st Street, Palisade, Colorado 81526. There will be a Mass at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Palisade, Colorado, on March 8th at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at Veterans Memorial Cemetery on March 8th at 3:00 p.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be sent to St. Ann's Catholic Church.
