In this world, I believe it is important to be surrounded by good people, and Rip was someone I was happy and proud to call a friend and neighbor. From the time that we moved into Osprey (and then later to Boise), he never hesitated to invite Tom and me into his & Chrys's life, suggesting hikes that we might enjoy, offering project ideas (with tools), and of course offering the cats up for snuggles when I needed them. He offered tips on improving my photography skills and shared his dad's drawings when I was just learning. The world needs more people like Rip, and he will be greatly missed. Kim and Tom

I met Rip and Chrys in 2006 after both of us moved to Osprey. I am happy to call both my very good friends. One of my favorite memories is going to their house in the middle of the afternoon on a cold winter day, snuggling down in a blanket and watching a movie or show( First episode of Outlander comes to mind as I write this). Chrys always fell asleep and Rip and I watched the show. I miss him dearly.

I knew from the moment I met Rip that we had so much in common and we would enjoy time together. Over the years we backpacked, snowshoed and fished. I will miss him greatly but I take comfort in knowing how fully he lived his life.
