I'll never forget him turning a long driving trip from Miami to Ohio into a grand adventure. We went to Isle of Mirada, then to Everglades, swamps in Georgia, a beautiful lake in South Carolina, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, and our old house in North Carolina, up a crazy mountain goat path because the interstate was closed, and on to home. Just Dad, Phoenyx, and me. He was so happy in the Keys. But laughed so hard when the wind at blowing rock sucked off 2 year old Phoenyx's shoe and hat and blew them over the mountain. I will miss him dearly.

When I first met Ralph I thought he had a presents like Charles Bronson. What I mean is he didn't have to be angry to know he wasn't someone to mess with. We became quick friends.
