Ralph “Rocky” Jones Obituary
Rocky worked for The Oklahoma Historical Society for many years, at times managing the Overholser Mansion in OKC and the Honey Springs Battlefield near Checotah, OK. He had a strong interest and knowledge of the Civil War era. He enjoyed playing Bridge and spent many years in a bridge club.
Rocky was preceded in death by his parents, Robert F. Jones, Sr. and Florence (Peggy) Jones, brothers Robert F. Jones, Jr., John Thomas (JT) Jones and Karroll Curtis (KC) Jones, sister-in-law Johnnie Jones, and nieces Terry Jones and Carol Jones. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Kay Jones, nieces Barbara King of Houston, TX, Sharon Goff (Fred) and Kathy Harlin (Joe) of Norman, OK, and nephew Rick (Susan) Jones of San Francisco, CA, as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church, 5401 N. Brookline Ave, Oklahoma City on August 16, 2025 at 11:00 am.
