Dear Trussell family, I wish you my sincerest sympathy. I sat in three times a few months ago with a band that Ralph played with. I liked him instantly and loved his band stories. Ralph, I am going to leave you one of my poems. For those of you that are musicians, you will know that pearls are also a brand of drum..Goodbye my friend!

The lessons of life that are truly “pearls”

Let us live our life each day in awe and wonder,
Rather than toil over the tings that we blunder.
As we are not meant to understand everything,
nor are we to know what each day will bring.

Sometimes in life the sun shines for us all
and other times from the sky rain will fall.
Sunshine meaning there’s good times and cheer,
And rain falling like our sobbing, heart felt tears.

So let us go forth spreading happiness to all that are dear,
and be wise enough to keep friends and family near.
For these are the lessons of life that are truly “pearls”,
And the things in our lives that are precious and real.

Dear Jack and All: Kim called me to tell me Ralph had had a 'special trip' on his agenda. Ralph, Kim, Tony and I were inseparable during and after highschool. Ralph was the 'protector' of the group and was always there when someone needed him - always to be counted on. His love of life and grand presence will always be remembered. He accomplished alot inspite of some very difficult days. I've always had good thoughts of Ralph and will continue them as long as I am here. Once again, you've been the 'leader of the pack'! Rest in peace Brother Ralph-we'll miss you bro and see you in the future! Satch

Elaine and Jack, I have know Ralph for
26 years since I began work at Stahl Plumging. Ralph was always talking sports and music. He still came into Stahl Plumbing for coffee with whomever was working on Saturdays.
This was too sudden but I will treasure that I knew him and what a great guy he was.
My prayers are with you both.

Ralph, you left us too soon!! We were friends for at least 11 years and every week during football season you would share your insight about the Steeler and Pitt. I must say it added a lots of fun and excitement to my radio show on Saturday mornings! Our listeners will miss you because you have established a Saturday morning tradition that will be hard for anyone to duplicate.
Hey Ralph "Can you hear me now"
We love and miss you!!!

I've known Ralph since high school. We have remained friends ever since. I loved his sense of humor, and his love for the Oldies. He has been to my house to party at Christmas time. And I just thought about doing my invites this year when I heard of his passing. I was shocked. We shared his love of music and played together with an "Elvis Show". We had a ball. I played with him for the autism benefit he was so proud of. He was a guys guy. He really was. God bless him.
Elaine, hope you remember me and I am truly sorry for your loss, and all of our loss.

Elaine. I send my Heartfelt Sympathy at this most difficult time. I can only say, what an honor it was to say Ralph was my Friend. The second I saw Ralph, the laughter and good stories began. Ralph loved everyone, loved the Steelers, loved being on the radio, loved playing drums. Ralph loved life, and you were a very big part of his life. Ralph loved you very much! May you and all of Ralph's Family find Peace at this sad time. A Point Breeze Legend is gone, but his Memory will live as long as there's music and football.
