Raymundo Rivera, Jr., a life long resident of Tulare, Ca., passed away on Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009. He was a self employed landscaper. Raymundo, better known to everyone as "Junior" will be truly missed by everyone who knew him. He was a kind and loving person who always opened his doors to anyone and everyone who needed help. He enjoyed working on his yard, listening to music and watching western movies. He is survived by brothers, Ray Rivera, Richard Rivera, Robert Rivera, Sr., Raymundo Rivera III, Guadalupe "Kory" Rivera, all of Tulare, Ca. Sisters, Rachel Grando, of Madera, Ca., Rosie Rivera of Caldwell, Idaho, Rita Rivera, of Fresno, Ca., Rebecca Rivera, Ruby Rivera and Nahomi Rivera all of Tulare, Ca. Many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his Grandmother, Maria L. Rivera, father Raymundo Rivera Sr., and his mother Maria C. Sanchez. Visitation will be 12-5 p.m, Thursday, October 1, 2009 at Peers Lorentzen Funeral Chapel. An evening wake service will be 6:00 p.m., Thursday at the Apostolic Assembly Church, 540 W. Kern, Tulare. Service will be 9:30 a.m., on Friday, at the Apostolic Assembly Church, Tulare. Burial will follow at the Tulare District Cemetery, Tulare.

I am a nephew of this man who passed away it has been roughly 9 years since he passed away. He was like a father to me at the time when my dad wasnt there. He would always make me happy and satisfy me with my needs with clothes food toys etc. I still remember your till this day I was 7 years old when he passed away I am 15 now time goes by so fast it feels like it was just yesterday I was talking to him. But may you rest in piece uncle junior I love you.

TO THE RIVERA FAMILY OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH ALL OF YOU MY NAME IS RACHEL FLORES AND ME AND MY FAMILY HAVE KNOW THE RIVERA FAMILY ALMOST ALL MY LIFE AND I DO COMSIDERD THEM AS MY FAMILY I PRACTCTICLY LIVED WITH THEM WHEN I WAS YOUNG WE HAVE SO MANY MEMORIES IF THERE IS ONE THING THAT I REMEMBER IS THAT JR WAS THE HEART OF THE RIVERA FAMILY HIM AND GERANDMA WHEN WE ALL WHERE LITTLE WE WOULD GO TO CHURCH WITH JR AND GERANDMA AND WE WOULD TAKE OFF TO THE STORE AND SOMETIME JR WOULD CATCA US AND GET US IN TROUBLE OR SOMETIME WE WOULD TRY TO BRIBE HIM IF HE DID NOT TELL ON US WE WOULD CLEAN HIS ROOM AND AFTER HIS ROOM WAS CLEAN OR WHAT EVER WE MADE A DIAL SOME HOW JR OLDER BROTHER RICHARD THE FOLLOWING SUNDAY WOULD FIND OUT THAT WE WENT TO THE STORE AND WE WOULD TURN AND LOOK AT JR AND HE WOULD HAVE THIS REAL BIG SMILE ON HIS FACE WHILE WE WHERE GETING SCOLED BY RICHARD JR WAS FUN AND COOL TO BE AROUND HE WAS A FIGHTER HE WAS A GOOD GUY HE ALWASY WANTED TO PUT ME ON A DIET HE LIKE TO JOKE AROUND WITH ME HE WELL TRULY BE MISSED AND TO PEEWEE AND RUBY YOU KNOW HE WELL ALWAYS BE AND LIVE IN YOUR HEART'S NO MATTER WHAT AND I SAY TO THE WHOLE FAMILY TAKE COMFORT IN KNOWING THAT NOW YOU ALL HAVE A SPECIAL GUARDIAN ANGEL TO WATCH OVER YOU IN LOVING MEMORY OF A WONDERFUL PERSON .WE WILL LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU ALWAYS RAYMUNDO RIVERA JR.
