I was a student at JHS 231 in the late 1970s. I graduated in 1979 and went on to Springfield Gardens HS. He was such a great educator and such a wonderful man. Many, many years later I worked at Northshore Hospital in the operating room where Mr. Landeau was my patient. When I went to do paperwork on him, I recognized him. After talking a bit, we realized we lived in the same neighborhood just a block away in Westbury. I saw him a couple of times and we always said we would get together.

The funny thing is, as I passed this one house on Baldwin Dr, I would see this distinguished man driving a nice a car. I did not know at that time it was Mr. Landeau. I know it has been years since he went to heaven, but I want to let the family know that I pray for God's comfort, love and peace to you all.
God Bless you,
Angela Henry, Westbury

At JHS 231. He was a great administrator, and fantastic person.

I remember Reggie Landeau as a wonderful educator for whom students came first! He was creative and imaginative and marched to his own drummer. He held himself to the same high standards he insisted upon for others. I shall miss him as will all those students in whom he believed and for whom he worked so long and hard.
