Palm City - The Rev. Martin B. Mulqueen (74) of Palm City, FL. was called back to God on Saturday, February 22, 2025 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Born in Ballygrifey Ruan, Ennis, County Clare Ireland, Martin generously chose to come to the U.S. to minister in what was known as "the missions". He served faithfully as Pastor of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City for 21 years and as a dedicated priest in the Dioceses of Orlando and Palm Beach for over 50 years. His ministry and impact are far-reaching.

He was a beloved priest and a kind pastor who is loved by many and will be missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Mary and siblings Marita, Martha, and John. He is survived by his sisters Una, Annette, and Helen, and his brothers Gerard and Dermot.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, Feb. 26 from 6-7 p.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City. His Funeral will be in the church on Thursday, Feb. 27 at 11:00 a.m.

Father Mulqueen generously shared his time as a priest at Ascension Catholic Church in Melbourne, My husband,Bob, and I had the honor to be a part of Ascension Youth Ministry.

Blessings to the Mulqueen family. I was privileged to be at St. Charles parish, Orlando, When Fr. Marty was a brand new arrival in the US. We worked together with a wonderful group of folks on the youth group (the Simon Community) at St. Charles.
