Rhonda Leigh Hopkins

STONEBORO — Rhonda Leigh Hopkins, 37, of 45 Gadsby Road, Stoneboro, passed away in a motor vehicle accident Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010.Born April 30, 1972, in Meadville, she was a daughter of Gerald and Darlene Ferry Kegley.She attended Calvary Baptist Christian Academy and Meadville Area Senior High School. She was a 1997 graduate of the Crawford County Area Vocational-Technical School Nursing Program.She had been employed at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community and Cracker Barrel and presently was working at the Comfort Inn in Barkeyville.Rhonda had a very strong personality that enabled her to get through many challenges in her life. She loved to laugh, cherished her many cats, but her greatest joy in life were her children. She is survived by two sons, Brandon Kegley of Meadville and Darryll Stivanson at home; two daughters, Breanna and Kaitlyn Hopkins at home; three sisters, Shannon Kegley of Atlantic, Richelle Viscuso and her husband, Vinnie of Carlton, and Cassandra Colwell of Meadville; a brother, Victor Kegley of Greenville; her father, Gerald Kegley of Meadville; her fiancé, Henry Gadsby; an uncle, James Lowing of Cochranton; an aunt, Debra Pettis of Albion; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a special longtime friend, Amanda Gadsby.She was preceded in death by her mother; her stepmother Clara Kegley; an aunt, Kelly McClinton; an uncle, Reed Lowing; and two nieces, Autumn Kegley and Taylor.Friends may call at Dickson Family Funeral Home Inc., 123 S. Franklin St., Cochranton, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Terry Brown, a family friend, officiating.Interment will be in Mumford Cemetery.Memorials can be made to the funeral home in care of the family.
