Richard Louis Neufeld Jr.

Richard Louis Neufeld Jr., 78, passed away on May 30, 2025, in Palm Harbor, FL. Born on October 20, 1946, Richard was a spirited individual known for his love of music, dancing, and an unmatched zest for life, which included a profound appreciation for good food and jovial gatherings.

Richard proudly served in the United States Marine Corps as a Corporal during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1968, displaying commendable bravery and dedication. Following his military service, he embarked on a career in warehouse management, where he applied the same level of commitment and diligence that characterized his time in the service.

He graduated from Ramsey Highschool in New Jersey, Class of 1964, which laid the foundation for his successful career and lifelong friendships. Richard's hobbies included fishing, camping, reading, solving puzzles, and spending quality time with his family, all activities that brought him immense joy and fulfillment.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Jennifer (Neufeld) Saner, and her husband Robert; his son, Eric Neufeld, and his wife Stacie; and his cherished grandson, Jake Saner. Richard was preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara Kay Neufeld; his father, Richard Neufeld; mother, Georgette Wieland; brother, Timothy Neufeld; and sister, Jody Neufeld.

A memorial service to celebrate Richard's life will be held at The Florida National Veterans Cemetery in Bushnell, FL, with details to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Richard's memory to the Vietnam Veterans of America at VVA.org or the Suncoast Hospice Foundation at SuncoastHospiceFoundation.org. These contributions will honor Richard's legacy of service and compassion.
