(1930 - 2012) Richard H. Solis was born in Park City, Utah, February 8, 1930. He passed away quietly with loved ones at his side after a lengthy illness in Los Angeles on November 6, 2012.
Richard is survived by his loving companion of 24 years, Irene Greenside, and his four sons Richard "Petey" (Terry), Anthony (Susan), Robert "Huey" (Bertha), and Henry "Kiki" (Veronica).
Richard was blessed with eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Fabian, Amador, Andy; and his sisters Ramona, Jessie and Madeline. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Natividad Solis; his sisters Jenny and Mary; and brothers Pete, John and Henry.
Richard served in the U.S. Army from 1951 - 1953 in Korea. He spent most of his life in Southern California where he owned the Lyons Den Barber Salon on the Miracle Mile in Los Angeles for many years and retired from the Beverly Hilton barber shop in Beverly Hills.
Richard loved music, dancing, shooting pool, was an avid boxing fan and enjoyed playing the guitar. Richard loved talking to people and had the opportunity to meet many celebrities and dignitaries.
A memorial service will be held on November 16, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Perez Family Funeral Home, 1347 Del Norte Road, Camarillo 93010. Internment will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery, 2370 North H Street, Oxnard 93036, followed by a reception at the residence of Henry Solis.

To My Dad Anthony and My Tio's Petey, Robert, and Henry,
May God Bless our family during this time of loss. As a family may we cherish and hold close to our hearts the many memories we have spent together with grandpa. With a family like ours we will console and comfort one another and keep his memory alive. I love you, Dad and know you are putting on your strong face, but know that your kids are here for you! Grandpa, you will be deeply missed, but NEVER forgotten!!!
