Rich, as I called him during our days as fraternity brothers at WKU was a snappily dressed, self-assured, and quick witted person who was my friend. I had transferred to WKU in my sophomore year and he made me feel like we had been pledge brothers, not a transferee. His smile was always close at hand, as was his sense of humor. It was my pleasure to have known him and I´m sorry for the void that his family and friends must feel with his passing, but his presence will continuously be felt - he was just that kind of a person.

Was a fraternity brother of Rich at WKU. Great brother, super guy and a ton of fun to be around. My condolences to his family.

I just learned of "Dickie's" passing and am sorry to hear this. My sincere heart for his loving wife, girls, spouses and grandchildren; may the awesomeness of him give you gratitude for the love he shared with all of you. Dickie was like part of my Fitzgerald family as teenagers. He was always ready for a good laugh, a game of badminton or a ride to Sebec Lake, Maine. Rest in peace, Dickie Ziegler.

Richard is a good man. One of the best! I´ll miss those times at the end of the day when a toddy or two would accompany us on our backyard porch discussions. We agreed on music, politics, and love for our families! I will cherish those memories. God bless you Ziegler family. And remember that Richard lives on in our hearts and memories.
