To the Dickerson Family,
Very sorry to hear of Bob's death. He was intstrumental along with Ted Ruprecht and others in the Econ department in influencing my choice to go to graduate school in Economics. My dad, John, was also a fan of his.
My thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of sorrow and loss.

Dear Peggy, Dan, Jennifer and the rest of the Dickerson family,
I am sorry for your loss. My Jerome thought so much of Bob. I remember all those good times with the Six Rivers Running Club and the social gatherings after the races and your 50th wedding anniversary party. What an affable fellow.
Sincerely,
Nancy Lengyel

Dear Peggy and Family
Kathy and I were so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. We will miss his humor and friendship and sharing wine and good cheer at Big lagoon. He was a great neighbor and we had many many great discussions about the world, poetry and just life.

Peggy and Family--Thanks to you and Bob for all that you have done for our community. Your volunteer efforts with Annie and Mary Days in Blue Lake and your dedication to the Six Rivers Running Club are long-lasting and valued. Although my running days are over, I have fond memories of the HSU noon runs with faculty and staff. In addition to the camaraderie, we enjoyed solving all the world's problems. Bob's contributions were always wise and thoughtful. And he always had a ready smile.
As you well know, Bob was a terrific teacher and will be remembered by the legions of students who were fortunate enough to be enrolled in his classes at HSU.
He will be missed by all of us who were blessed to know him and call him "friend".

I met Bob thru Ride & Tie in the early 1980s and will always remember his welcome smile and friendly, helpful attitude for novices like me. He was a real gentleman.

A genuine smile and enthusiasm every time we met. The light in the room got brighter when he spoke especially about running or Ride and Tie.

Bob will be greatly missed at the lunch table here at the Rancheria. Always a warm heart and kind word for his peers and adopted family. He often shared his stories of his life and told them with humor. He always shared his lifelong wisdom and everyone enjoyed his daily contribution to the conversation. We are sure that as he walked through those pearly gates he commented, "This is just wonderful!"

Dear Peggy, Francis and family,
My deepest sympathies for your loss. I am grateful to have seen Bob recently at a Blue Lake event (and hugged him). He was admired and respected by many, and will live on in the hearts and minds of so many of us who were enriched for having known him. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Bob was my economics professor in 1966. I was completely in awe of him, his intelligence and his ability to communicate to his students, especially me. I went to high school with Dan, knew Mary through her role at Pacific Lumber and Peggy through the City of Blue Lake. I am so sorry for all of your loss.

Bob was one of HSU's best. He was always a class act, a good mentor and set very high standards. I enjoyed our working on union activities with him and was amazed at how he always was on an even keel. I will miss our talks in
the HSU weight room and admire his wheeling weights around on his cart, a smile on his face. RIP Bob.

Dear Peggy and Family,
Our Family sends it's deepest sympathy's to You and Yours. And I know Toby would, if only she could. Bob had so much to be proud of. We have many happy memories of Bob, yourself and the boys playing L.L. baseball and of the times attending the B.L. Dancing club.

I usually saw Mr. Dickerson at wine tastings, so it made me feel good it was mentioned in the obit. He sure was a funny guy, maybe that's what makes Mary a hoot. He certainly lives on in her smile. My prayers to all the family.

For many years I had the good fortune to chat with Bob during early morning workouts in the HSU weight room. He was truly a gentleman and a scholar, and I always looked forward our visits. My best to his family. He loved all of you, and maintained a great zest for learning and life, right to the end.
