Robert Frey Obituary
Robert George Frey, 89, of Bethlehem, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014, in St. Lukes Hospital. He was the husband of Geraldine (Kipp) Frey for 66 years. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late William and Helen (Borman) Frey. A graduate of Fountain Hill High School and Rider College, he worked as the accountant for Harvey Kipp Meats for many years. He was proud and honored to have served his country during World War II in the European Operations, including Omaha Beach at Normandy and Battle of the Bulge until VE-Day under the command of Major Fred Valentino. He was awarded the bronze star and five campaign ribbons. He belonged to the Masonic Lodge and also served in the National Ski Patrol. Survivors: Wife, Geraldine; daughter, Linda Owen, and her husband, Richard, of North Port, FL; son, Harvey Kipp Frey of Santa Rosa, CA; brother, Gordon of Bethlehem; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. He was predeceased by a brother, George. Services: Will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements, Pearson Funeral Home, Bethlehem.

Our thoughts and prayers to you and family. Bob was a dedicated member of both Big Boulder and Jack Frost Ski Patrol. His quiet manner and quality of skill was our reward as he served our guests and cared for those injured.

Bob was such a hard working neighbor. I often stopped to talk to him when I was walking my dog and we would talk about his time in the service. I'm so sorry for your sudden loss.
