Dr. Fujino, Bob as I called him b/c that was the way he wished it to be, was my dentist since 1979 until his retirement. My wife and I lived in Pembrooke Meadows at the time, when I had a wisdom tooth that had to be extracted real soon and Dr. Bob said he would do it right away. That was my 1st visit. Bob, was a very extraordinary dentist and talk about gentle. He gave me a break on both my gold crowns b/c I didn't have insurance. I used to criticize (tease is a better word) him for having that big ugly painting of a black ski boot in his office for so many years. I used to chuckle at the inspirational posters he had placed on the ceiling above the dentist chair. Bob had great character and charisma. I could always count on Bob to take good care of my teeth. I could go on and on, but my sincere condolences to his wife, extended family, friends and associates. He will be missed by all.

Our condolences to Dr. Fujino's family. I'm so shocked of his passing. He has been our dentist for 25 years. Since his retirement,
I have yet to find a dentist that I
am comfortable with. He will be deeply missed.

Dear Bev'
Brenda and I are deeply moved by Bob's passing. We just received the news here in Phoenix from mutual Calgary friends.I remember the good times that we had with Bob on golf trips, bonspiels and other mostly sporting ventures.Bob was part of that special era in Calgary which produced a group of dentists who shared a comaraderie which far surpassed a commonality of profession. While I have not lived in Calgary for some time, I will forever cherish the memories.
Our thoughts are with you,
Gordon and Brenda Kurio

I am sending my deepest sympathy to you in this difficult time. I have practiced near Bob for fourteen years and have the utmost respect for his professionalism, intelligence and wit. He was truly a kind man as a colleague and friend. His presence here will be missed. However he leaves it a better place because of who he was.

It is very hard to believe that Bob is no longer with us. Although I only worked with Bob for a few short years, they were a few of my best working years. Bob was very good to me and he was fun to work with. I admired the relationship he had with his patients and the way his patients were devoted to him. Bev, I know that Bob is at peace and that he is your guardian angel. I extend my deepest sympathies to you and your family. Take care and God Bless.

Bob was my best friend in dental school. The bond formed in those years remained strong dispite the fact that we didn't see each other much after I moved to Vancouver to open my practice. My last visit with Bob and Bev was in October 05, when I flew out to spend an evening with them. As always, it was a joyful experience filled with laughter and great conversation, dispite Bob's condition. The world is an emptier place without you!

Having worked with Bob, knee to knee for 15 years, I find it very difficult to grasp that he is no longer here. Some of my fondest memories are from Eastport Dental and the many laughs we shared.
He touched alot of lives, as a dentist and a friend, and will be greatly missed.
Bev and families please accept my deepest sympathy.

Bob was our first roommate in 1974, the year before we were married. We lived in Carol and Dick's former house with Tommy and the cat. During that year, Bob met Bev and the house got crowded. They were heady days and we had great parties, often attended by the local constabulary.
We always admired Bob's and Dick's professional relationship that endured for their entire careers.
We will miss his sardonic smile and wry wit. Bev, we admire your strength during this difficult time.

From the perspective of a classmate at university and a fellow dentist hooked on golf; I have many fond memories about Bob.The things that characterized him for me were that he was so clever, very proud and skilled at whatever he did - especially dentistry and golf. The one thing that I wll remember most though is his laugh - and we lucky to have shared many of those. I will miss him and my sympathy goes out to Bev and both families.

My condolences to Bev and Dr. Fujino's family, I'm so sorry to hear the news of his passing, he was always pleasant. I knew Dr. Fujino as my dentist for over 25 years. He was very special and made going to the dentist an easy chore. He gave me two crowns at a very good price, because he knew I didn't have insurance. He was a wonderful man and I have missed seeing him since his retirement. He has left us far too early, we need more Dr. Fujinos in our world today....

BEV - How it hurts my heart to have to write these words! You are so right to say he'll be missed by his Glencoe Buddies ... his natural smile that greeted you for morning coffee, a witty comment to get you going for the day, and his companionship after the round.
Bob was so genuine, such a pleasure to be share time with.
I know many us will take some extra time to listen to the breeze as it moves the trees on the Forest back nine for I am sure if we listen hard enough we'll hear Bob's laugh and one more quick retort from his sharp wit!
You'll always be with us Bob.

Words cannot express my condolances to the family. I am deeply sorry for your loss.
Dr. Fujino was my dentist from when I was 6 years old until I was 26 and moved away from home. He made going to the dentist a enjoyable experience and always had a smile and a story to tell to ease the nerves of us nervous kind. Although I only knew him professionally, you knew he was a good, kind man. He was a part of my childhood, a part of my life and will always be remembered and missed.

May God strengthen you at this time and may your faith give you the knowledge that Bob is no longer in pain and is at peace.
We will remember him for his sense of humour and his quick smile. I will never forget how he treated my mom when she went to see him. He was so gentle and kind to her. She often spoke of him after the visit.
Take care and God Bless

We extend our heartfelt sympathy to you and Bob's family. It is hard to believe. He had us all believing he was going to beat it.We will be thinking of you on Sunday when you all get together to celebrate Bob's life. He lived a very full life and was a great guy. Nick is sorry he cannot be there with all the Kohonuts to talk about old and wonderful times with Bob. Bob leaves fond memories with all who knew him. With deep sympathy

Dr. Fujino was my dentist for almost 20 years. He never failed to crack a joke or make me smile while I sat back in his chair. He treated me with dignity, compassion and care and was an amazing human being. I was recently in the Eastport clinic where I heard the sad news and only hope to say that I've missed him since he retired and feel grief that he has passed. This was a man that touched my heart even though I only saw him professionaly. I'm very sorry for the families loss.

I am devasted by this news. He was genuinely a great guy. I have many fond memories of shared adventures in residence at the U. of A. and later after we both moved to Calgary. I valued Bob's friendship, his intelligence, curiosity, and occasional irreverance. What a huge loss! I wish Bev, and Bob's extended family, every strength in dealing with their (and our) loss.

Dear Bev and family,
Heather and I are so sorry to hear of your loss.
I have fond memories of Bob and of his strong character. My most prominent recollection is golfing against Bob in a Dental Match Play game at the Glencoe years ago.
Through the Grace of God and an inflated handicap, I managed to be tied with Bob on the 17th hole.
We both hit good drives on 18. I decided to play it safe, got into the sand anyway and struggled to an 8.
Bob calmly took out a 3-iron and put the ball on the green for a ho-hum par.
Class will tell.
We'll all miss him.
In sympathy,
Brian and Heather Weeks
