ROBERT McCRACKIN Obituary
On Monday, June 15, 2015, Robert W. McCrackin, age 85, formerly of Wexford. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Anne McCrackin and Ella Cousins-McCrackin; father of Timothy G. (Jill) McCrackin of Mars and Patricia Anne (John Gottschalk) McCrackin of MI; stepfather of William and Scott Cousins of Pgh.; brother of Irene (late James) Schueller of MI, Patrick (Sherry) McCrackin of MI, Richard (Carol) McCrackin of MI, and the late James McCrackin, Daniel McCrackin, and Margaret Ann McCrackin; brother-in-law of Patricia McCrackin of MI; grandfather of Evan Robert, Aiden Patrick, and Jack Anthony Gottschalk; also survived by nieces and nephews. Friends received 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at SIMONS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 7720 Perry Hwy. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Alexis Church on Saturday at 10 a.m. This past spring Robert celebrated 60 years in the automotive business. He came to Pittsburgh from Detroit in 1967 to open McCrackin Ford, in which he served as president for 47 years. Along with his love for the automotive business, he enjoyed traveling throughout Europe and hunting bear and moose in Russia, Canada, Texas, and Alaska. However, his true joy was spending time with his grandsons and family.

Mr McCrackin gave me the opportunity to start my career in the car business. I was young, I´m forever grateful and blessed to have met, worked and learned from this man. God bless.

Dear Tim and Patti, I just learned of his passing. He was an extremely intelligent, deep, perceptive and strong willed man. We worked together beautifully for many years, like a precisely choreographed waltz. My deepest sympathies and condolences to you and your family. You are in my prayers.

Dear Tim,
My deepest sympathy for you and your family. Broke my heart when I heard about dad. Your dad was a mentor to me and always a favorite to make laugh in the auction lanes.
